– Hey, Ripley. I heard you, like, ran into these things before?
– That’s right.
– Wow, man. So, like, what did you do?
– I died.

It may seem strange and irrelevant to write about ”Alien: Ressurection” more than 20 years after its release, especially given that it’s mostly known as a faulty sequel abruptly suspending the franchise for 15-20 years. Or less, it depends how you count. Plus it is the lowest rated movie of the franchise. So why even bother?

  1. I remember seeing this movie in the theaters and being very turned off by the scene where Ripley comforts the baby hybrid. It was odd.

The queen alien was a huge downer as well. She looked so fake and as mobile as a skin tag on an old ladies back. Such a terrible prop compared to Aliens.

    1. It was a very odd movie. But the person that wrote this was very passionate so i thought it was worth a share. And i do agree the 90’s don’t get enough love for the movies that came out in that decade.

    2. I think that the main problem of the movies was the the second part of it was way worse than the first part and that always makes our impression of the movie worse. I totally agree with you about the newborn hybrid and the quenn. They certainly make this movie worse… I wish that aften they enter the room with human+alien clones and hybrids where Ripley sees her own close the movie should have taken a different direction. But, even with all these flaws, I think this movie is a lots of fun. It is original and does not try to rehash 3 previous movies, it is not as deadly serious as Covenant and not as stupid and predictable as Aliens vs Predators…
