The list of movies added to the national registry can be found at movieweb.com but for me, the two big ones are The Shining and Jurassic Park. Most people don’t realize how important this registry is. See a lot of movies have been lost to time for various reasons and 30 years ago there was a huge movement to save these works of art. Now every year movies are chosen to be saved for all time, classics that our great grandkids otherwise may not be able to see.
