As the title says, there are some substantial changes coming to Destiny 2 in an attempt to bring in new players and bring back some of the older ones. One of those changes, as reported by engadget.com is that the base game will become free to play come September 17th when the next expansion Shadowkeep releases.
Polygon is also reporting that we will also see cross save between PS4, Xbox one, PC and Stadia. The idea is to unify the entire world of Destiny 2 so nobody feels they are singled out away from their friends, even exclusive content is being done away with.
While this may be way to little far to late for some fans, I do think this is a step in the right direction and will probably be picked up by many other games and companies in the future.
