Alchemist The Potion Monger from Art Games studios is the newest alchemy game to launch this week in Xbox and on PC gathered posting reviews from fans. This isn’t entirely the same on Xbox.
The game itself involves you getting to a home you built and instantly starting your career as a local alchemist. You start out with a tutorial on how to make basic potions to heal yourself and your dog followed by how to get rid of some vines blocking your way to town.
Your dog plays a key role in the game especially at first. It not only helps you track down things he also helps tell you what sort of effects earth based ingredients would have.
After you find out what they do you can use different alchemist tools can be used to change the effects either clockwise or counter clockwise. This lets you use one item to create different types of effects.
The game is really well made and the story is solid,but the Xbox version has had a few small snags. Some people have reported losing save data for example. The controls are also a bit iffy at times. These have largely been patched out according to the developers and if they haven’t been they probably will be soon.
That being said, the game is fun but has been met with a few snags. Nothing that breaks your enjoyment of the game or even breaks it for me. At the price being asked for it the game is one of the better ones out there. It is a solid 7/10 and worth the money if you enjoy this kind of game.
