Recently Stadia boss Phil Harrison told Eurogamer “I don’t know why it would be cheaper” in reference to the price of games. This honestly doesn’t surprise me at all honestly as digital games aren’t any cheaper than physical copies anyway despite obviously being cheaper to distribute. While it will be nice to be able to play on just about any screen, the idea that they were ever going to be cheaper is ridiculous to me. Besides the extra cost of creating this new format it, they want all the profit they can possibly get. While there is a free option and a $10 a month option (more details on that here ) and that will help, they obviously won’t want to cut into that else ware. Regardles, it will be interesting.
