This might the strangest of the new PS5 trailers but I’m enthralled by the fusion of anime influences, horror, and action. The graphics are really colorful and beautifully unique. I have no idea what the story is but I’m hooked. May the gaming gods bring you glory.
All New X-Men: Here To Stay (vol 2)

Awhile back I covered the first volume of All New X Men, All New X- Men: Yesterday’s X Men as covering pieces of there story here and there. I loved seeing the original 5 kids in the limelight, who I feel deserved more respect and went into the backdrop in favor of more popular characters like Wolverine, Storm, and a few others. So how do the story of our young time displaced mutant heroes continue.
Things have been better for the young classic X Men: Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Iceman, Beast and Angel. Cyclops, rebellious and distraught over the future betrayal against the X men, seeks to try setting things right- starting by running away with Logan’s motorcycle. Kitty Pryde tries to comfort Jean as she struggles with her blossoming telepathic abilities as well as trying to discipline the team. Angel, finds his future self, carefree wings a rebellious streak, metal wings, and new powers; Angel discovers his fate at the hands of Apocalypse and freaks out, getting mind swept by Jean in a dark move. If the growing turmoil wasn’t problem enough, Mystique is going on a rampage with Mastermind and Future Cyclops announces a new school for mutants, preparing them for the revolution to come. Is this too much to handle for our disjointed heroes?
I have some mixed feelings on this book but for the most part I enjoyed it. My favorite part was Angel’s part, seeing him fighting alongside Archangel and seeing the trauma he suffers about his fate. Jean Grey also has a really cool arc where you see a darker side of her as she starts using her telepathic capabilities recklessly. The only arc I wasn’t that into was young Cyclops’s; more than a few times I thought he was becoming a brat rather than a sympathetic character. He had the biggest arc which made the beginning seem to crawl a bit but thankfully the cliffhanger ending saved it. The art is solid and the writing is pretty good, making me laugh and keeping me connected. In the end, it’s a solid read if you want to follow the All New X Men series. May the gaming gods bring you glory.
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart reveal trailer
It’s been forever since I’ve heard from this legendary duo so I’m thrilled they are hopping into the next console gen. New dimensions and new places look fantastic and well, pirates man. May the gaming gods bring you glory.
Observer System Redux demo trailer
I know this game exists but it flew under my radar mostly; I know fans of it but I also know many that said it was a waste of potential. I’m glad it’s getting another shot and it looks like a new coat of paint is a good start. May the gaming gods bring you glory.
Horizon 2: Forbidden West reveal trailer
I’m feeling pretty speechless right about now. The world of Horizon always intrigued me but now I’m itching to play the first. The graphics and scope of the trailer are truly breathtaking and the machines look badass, the mastodon at the end is really badass. May the gaming gods bring you glory.
Mortal Shell gameplay trailer
Mortal Shell looks like a game fitting into the Souls category but I like the GOW/ 300 vibe I’m getting from the trailer. The gameplay looks solid and the graphics are damn nice but I would’ve liked a little more story. May the gaming gods bring you glory.
Demon’s Souls remake trailer
While Dark Souls got all the credit for the Souls genre, many forget the grandfather of the series: Demon’s Souls. The graphics are awesome and I like that they showcase a lot of the bosses. I’m curious how it’ll play out. May the gaming gods bring you glory.
Werewolf The Apocalypse- Earthblood cinematic trailer
Summer is here and what better time for some much needed werewolf mayhem? Seriously, werewolves get the shaft as far as monsters go so I’m ecstatic that they get some alone time to shine here. The concept looks cool and I’m curious what the other creatures shown are. There is plenty of potential here and like many I’m pumped for it. May the gaming gods bring you glory.
Marvel’s Spider-man: Miles Morales trailer 1
Marvel’s Spider-man (PS4) was one of my favorite games of this current generation and while I’m not familiar too much with the adventures of Miles, I was pumped his Spider-man was going to be in the second game. I can’t wait to see the villain roster for this game because the last game’s was phenomenal (I’m hoping for Sandman, Kraven, and Mysterio myself). So many questions and my mouth is watering as a comic nerd. May the gaming gods bring you glory.
Destiny 2 Beyond Light trailer
Destiny 2 and me have a strange relationship. While it’s honestly a fun game, I’m not a MMO guy in nature but I play once in a great while. The cinematic trailer is gorgeous and leaves a lot to imagine what kind of adventure the new expansion will bring. September isn’t far away. May the gaming gods bring you glory.
