Jump King Out Now for PS4, XB1 and Nintendo Switch

Every point of progress is saved along the way… but so is every setback. Jumps that cause minor grievances one time may become the bane of your existence upon encountering them again. Experimenting with different routes or tactics is recommended as there are many paths to success in Jump King. All this is wrapped up in a nostalgic pixel art aesthetic, full of colorful characters and evocative locales.

Make no mistake, Jump King is an extraordinarily difficult game that will be relished by anyone looking for a tough but fair challenge. It’s sadistic enough to drive a seasoned gamer to tears, yet accessible enough due to its simple controls and mechanics for anyone to overcome its challenges – perseverance is key! Do you have what it takes to be the one true Jump King?

“Dear console gamers, you are not prepared for this emotional journey! Your soul will be put to the ultimate test in our platforming game where all you do is jump…. sounds simple, right?” said Erik Säll of Nexile. “Let’s just say it is not as easy as you might think. Much due to it being such a personal challenge; there is nearly no randomness in the game so it all comes down to your skill! Every mistake and success is your own. With perseverance and a bit of luck we believe anyone can beat Jump King though! We recommend every console gamer to take up this challenge, and now you can even do it from the comfort of your own sofa!”

Now I copy and pasted that from the email they sent me, but I will translate. This game is about jumping, a lot. And it will probably piss a lot of us off. But there is supposed to be a really REALLY hot chick at the top. I am hoping to give this one a try because I feel like the chick at the top is ugly as hell, but there is only one way to find out. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

HammerHelm Receives Massive Update in Steam Early Access

So I got an email from my friends over at Soedesco and they said hey Savior, well they used my real name, but anyway they said check this out. Our game HammerHelm got a massive update over on Steam’s early access. If you don’t mind we would love for you to have a look and maybe pass it along.

Now full disclosure, I have NOT played this game. They have not offered me a copy nor have I asked for one. I just watched the trailer and some gameplay and thought this is something you guys may like to check out. It has been out a bit and has 83% from 118 reviews on Steam which is a very positive rating. The general gameplay is simply built a town, which used to be 30 buildings and is now 45, and has over 100 items to craft. These are things like Birch and Cherry blossom trees and other things to just make your town look better.

They have also Increased the area you can build your town quite a lot, not that it looked small before but now it seems to be quite significant in size. You will need to keep your citizens happy, as you lead the dwarfs of HammerHelm in their dream to live above ground. That doesn’t mean you won’t be going underground and fighting monsters tho, as that will be a must as you finish an assortment of quest in action-based combat. This is one you guys definitely want to check out and enjoy the screenshots below. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Elder Scrolls Online: GreyMoor, Dark Heart of Skyrim launch cinematic

I’ll be the first to admit, I’m a total casual here when it comes to Elder Scrolls Online but seeing a return to Skyrim was nice. I love the focus on werewolves in the trailer, which were some of my favorite parts of Skyrim. In the end, it’s a cool trailer and I hope the expansion lives up to it. May the gaming gods bring you glory.

Adam’s Venture: Origins now Available on Nintendo Switch

Adam’s Venture Origins released on May 29th from publisher Soedesco.  The game takes place in the 1920’s and you play as Adam Venture and will attempt to unravel the secret of Eden. There will be puzzles to solve and ancient ruins to explore. I personally have not played the game myself, but the story sounds quite interesting, and as you can see from the launch trailer above the game does a nice job capturing the feel of being in an underground temple. I have listed a few of the games features below, best wishes, and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

  • Delve into ancient ruins and recover mysterious artifacts
  • Try to solve clever and creative puzzles on your journey
  • Traverse long forgotten tombs and crumbling cities using the grappling hook
  • Get involved in a rich storyline that weaves adventure with historical overtones

Control time in old school RPG The Revenant Prince is coming to PC this summer

Nomina Games has revealed that its upcoming retro RPG The Revenant Prince is coming to PC this summer. Embark on an epic time-spanning quest to save the world.

The Revenant Prince casts players as Troy, a prince who awakens after a near death experience with the ability to control time. Guided by a mysterious voice that may or may not have his best interests at heart, Troy embarks on an epic quest to fulfill his uncertain destiny. As Troy continues on his adventure he will come to meet all manner of colorful characters and come face to face with difficult decisions. How you treat people and what actions you take on this quest will dictate how the story plays out. With all outcomes being irreversible, every playthrough of The Revenant Prince will be a fresh, new experience.

Choices play a major role in The Revenant Prince, as players will encounter strange creatures and characters that they can fight or potentially befriend. Combatants will talk to you as you battle, offering options to de-escalate feuds into friendships with the right words. Do you want to be a brash bruiser, or a piquant peacemaker? You are a literal god in this peculiar land, and the world is what you make of it!

MK11: Aftermath launch trailer

I have to say the expansion for MK11 is starting to look like a treat but there is something bothering me in the end: haven’t we seen most of what this expansion is offering before in other games before? Friendships? Stage Fatalities? Well known fighters sold as DLC? While I’m glad they made a story expansion to MK11 I can’t help but wonder to feel like a lot of these things should have been in the initial game. I hope in the end it helps the game evolve. I hope the gaming gods bring you glory.

Destroy All Humans 2020 gameplay trailer

Here’s a little taste of what I hope what will be a good bite to come. The graphics look great but I’m really hoping the gameplay feels more fluid than the original game. If the controls feel better and the better graphics, I think we can have ourselves a winner. May the gaming gods bring you glory.

Mafia trilogy remastered official gameplay trailer

First I gotta say holy hell these games look gorgeous. I’m kinda wondering why the first game got the shaft as far as trailers go. Mafia 2 looks amazing and from what I’ve been told it was the best of the trilogy. Mafia 3 looks like it got a nice graphical upgrade on top of a already beautiful game. I definitely want to check this series out. May the gaming gods bring you glory.
