During an interview with AP News he talked about how Shazam made his career bigger and this was a bigger platform. He also said that he expects there to be a quick turnaround for the next movie and it to start filming around mid 2020.
This honestly would not surprise me as despite only bringing in 363 million worldwide it only had a production cost of 100 million making it pretty profitable all things considered. With the departure of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, the man nobody would argue is the ultimate Wolverine at the very least in the live action area. Who could possibly replace him? Well Aquaman has an interesting idea, and that idea is himself, Jason Momoa. As interesting of an idea as this is, i’m not exactly convinced. I am just going to piss everyone off today. Seriously, what the hell is this? It is a story based game with only five characters, but they will be adding more for free with no loot boxes, which is usually code for get ready to buy a ton of cosmetics. They reveal an entire game with no real game play, and they all pretty much look like Avenger stunt doubles from an unreleased generic 90’s cartoon. I’m not saying the game won’t be good, nobody can say that, because they didn’t really show the damn game.

This week we saw the battle system in action and found out this first release of the multiple game release for Final Fantasy 7 remake would simply be inside of Midgar. They have been pretty up front about this being expanded upon greatly, but honestly considering it will be a fully priced game and the fact that I have already played the whole story, and other games like Witcher 3 and Elder Scrolls Skyrim have been hundreds of hours at release, I see no reason for this game to be this way outside of Square Enix using it as a massive cash grab because they know fans, including myself, will buy it anyway.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think this will be a short game. It will be beautiful and surely 40-60 hours long, of that I have no doubt. But they are still splitting up a game that doesn’t need to be split up just to sell it multiple times.
The battle system also seems weird, like they are attempting to placate older fans with the ATB system while making it more appealing to newer fans with it being more action oriented, and in the end this won’t really make anyone truly happy. it will mostly be mashing buttons to charge up the gauge and use an item or an attack then to mash more buttons. The materia being shown in weapons is pretty cool, and I like that idea. But to say I have some issues and concerns, is putting it mildly. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

As promised I had some news on our friends over at Letterkenny, and here it is. As reported by deadline Letterkenny will become a Hulu original on October 14th for its 7th Season which will consist of 6 episodes and while details are scarce it seems our hick friends will be starting some sort of agricultural call-in show. As the title says, there are some substantial changes coming to Destiny 2 in an attempt to bring in new players and bring back some of the older ones. One of those changes, as reported by engadget.com is that the base game will become free to play come September 17th when the next expansion Shadowkeep releases.
Polygon is also reporting that we will also see cross save between PS4, Xbox one, PC and Stadia. The idea is to unify the entire world of Destiny 2 so nobody feels they are singled out away from their friends, even exclusive content is being done away with.
While this may be way to little far to late for some fans, I do think this is a step in the right direction and will probably be picked up by many other games and companies in the future. As the title says, select Naughty Dog titles online aspects on PS3 will be shutting down on September 3rd, and those titles include The Last of Us and Uncharted 2 as well as Uncharted 3. On the bright side until then comicbooks.com reports all the multiplayer DLC for those games will be free.
I saw this morning what is supposedly a new trailer, tho it honestly just seems like a bunch of trailers rolled into one. As reported by Gamespot and Deadline will be a trilogy under the Batman name and will be directed by Matt Reeves, the man who directed Dawn of Planet of the Apes and War for Planet of the Apes. The first movie is so far slated for a June 2021 release with the others having nothing set yet.
