For those fans of Aquaman, and judging by the fact that it is the highest grossing DC movie of all time there are a lot of you, it will come as no surprise it is getting a sequel. It, however, is also getting a spin-off, a horror movie called The Trench. This seems like a perfect fit considering what the Trench was in the movie and what it was used for. Rottentomatoes has more details, but honestly, I am assuming The Trench will be a prequel to Aquaman considering the events of the actual movie and that it is thought none of the main characters will be in it. Dragon Quest XI Nintendo Switch
No there isn’t something wrong, yes it says Dragon Quest XI for the Switch and there is an 8-bit graphics picture. Why? Well because now confirmed for a worldwide release and will have the ability to switch the graphics to an 8-bit look. For more info check out The Verge. Ben Affleck “I’m not Batman”

Final Fantasy 9 Out For Switch, 7 Out Soon.
For those Final Fantasy fans out there, Nintendo will once again make you love them and piss some of you off. First, Final Fantasy 7 will be out March 26th which is exactly what we needed. Final Fantasy 7 on another platform. (sarcasm) Before that tho, we get Final Fantasy 9, which launched already, that day, in fact, on another platform. Because on every platform known to man almost wasn’t enough. They did, however, skip, once again, Final Fantasy 8. Don’t get me wrong I own 7 and 9 and I did on both PS one and I do on PS4. Also owned 7 on PC, so this isn’t about hating either game, I think 7 is one of the most influential of all time and both can be argued to be two of the all-time greats. My real issue is that once again Final Fantasy 8 is skipped even tho this year, and more precisely this month is the 20th anniversary of the release of FF8. Now I understand why in theory, supposedly they lost much of the original PlayStation releases code and they can’t simply port the PC version over, so there is, in theory, a valid reason, but it still sucks. Mario Maker 2 Announced For The Switch

New Tropico 6 Release Date
Not too long ago, much to the dismay of many the PC release of Tropico 6 was delayed for an undisclosed amount of time. Well, Kalypso Media has given us a release date. March 29th, 2019 and as an added bonus if you preordered before 7 p.m. (CET) January 10th, 2019 you will get the first DLC planned or 2019 free. I know the wait sucks, but not a bad trade-off really. Superman In Shazam?
Screenrant is reporting that Henry Cavill shot a cameo for the upcoming Shazam movie, but it is questionable as to whether or not it will be used. For me this is a bit weird, I would love to see it but if Cavill is truly done as the man of steel why bother? I honestly think this is why they are questioning if they will use it or not. Monster Hunter Movie Release Date
Eurogamer is reporting that we finally have a release date for the Monster Hunter movie, September 4th next year. This is quite the wait but I have to be honest, having over 200 hours into Monster Hunter World and not even bothering to count the others I am not really looking forward to it. The synopsis alone (which can be seen in the Eurogamer article) just doesn’t seem good to me. Happily, it is still quite the ways off so obviously this is by no means a reason to call it quits already, but I am definitely not hyped up for it. Sony Sells over 91 million Systems
As the clock ticks down on this generation of consoles and rumors fly about next-gen leaks and specs, Sony passes the 91 million units sold mark according to Techradar. These numbers seem to be slowing down, for example, they sold around 800 thousand more this time last year. Unless there is a sudden massive drop off, this will be the year Sony passes the 100 million mark which is pretty cool. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Thoughts on Ben Affleck Batman Departure
By now we have all seen the confirmation that Ben Affleck won’t be Batman anymore. If not, here is an article from cinemablend. This is a bit weird for me tho, since when he was first announced I hated the idea. The truth is I actually rather liked him as Batman and it kind of sucks he never got a true solo Batman movie. Not that I think he was the best at the job, but he was far better than I personally expected.
That being said, it did become quite obvious in Justice League he was there more out of obligation than any desire to be there which I understand, it wasn’t exactly a good movie.
