Tropico 6 Delayed Until March

We all know I am a huge fan of the Tropico series and love Kalypso Media. They have supplied me with a few games, in fact. So it is both sad and refreshing to see they delayed Tropico 6 because they feel the game isn’t as good as it should be. Gameinformer has more info, but the short version is Simon Hellwig, owner, and director, says while he played many hours of the game and he likes it that isn’t enough, he wants to love it. So while waiting sucks, we will have to wait until March to take a stab at being a dictator. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen To The Switch

Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen has been around awhile, to say the least. 2012 I believe, on the Xbox 360 and PS3. It also ended up on PC, PS4 and One X as Dark Arisen the same game and all of its DLC. This should surprise nobody at this point as the PS4 has been a powerhouse in the sales department for years now, and most likely 2019 will be the year the console tops the 100 million mark. Not only that it may very well surpass the Wii and original PlayStation. Tho the PS2 and it’s 155 million is most likely out of reach with talk of the PlayStation floating around. Aquaman Officially DCEU Highest Grossing Movie

It seems like only yesterday I was saying Aquaman would outsell Wonderwoman and pointing out I was right. Aquaman Officially Passes Wonder Woman in Sales Well turns out Aquaman has outsold all movies in the  DCEU, as reported by Cinemablend, Aquaman worldwide has cleared 900 million worldwide. With it not even being done, it may very well be the first DCEU movie to hit the 1 billion dollar mark. (which may happen before this even post) Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Possible Fantastic Four Video Game Teased

In a sentence I thought I would never type, or maybe hoped since I personally am not a fan, Comicbook.com is reporting that Marvel is teasing a Fantastic Four video game. Feel free to check the link for all the details but for me, this just seems like a bad idea with much of the goodwill with fans outside the comic world seemingly lost with the atrocity that is the Fantastic Four movies.

That isn’t to say a game with them can’t be good, I can imagine smashing away as The Think or burning the world up with The Human Torch. I just can’t in good conscience think hey this will be good after having sat through the movies, and while yes the game clearly will be made by someone else entirely I just can’t be excited by this idea. Some Lord Of The Rings Games Removed From Digital Stores

Gamespot, as well as others, are reporting that Lego: The Lord of the Rings and Lego: The Hobbit have been removed from digital stores possibly due to licensing rights expiring. Unlike games like Middle Earth: Shadow of War the lego games contain music and dialogue from the actual movies which could be why they were removed. Either way, they are gone possibly forever. Aquaman Officially Passes Wonder Woman in Sales

As some of you may recall, I made a bold claim awhile back that Aquaman would outsell Wonder Woman in the box office, to which many said I was insane. How would Aquaman, the longtime joke of DC possibly surpass Wonder Woman in sales? Well as reported by Screenrant it has done exactly that. Now I highly doubt it hits that coveted billion-dollar mark, but beating out WW to become the 2nd highest grossing film in the DCEU is impressive none the less. Bird Box Director Defends Changing Ending From Book

What many people don’t know about Bird Box is the Netflix sensation is based off a book by Josh Malerman. The book released in 2014 and had the same name. Well, ScreenRant reports that director Susanne Bier in an interview with Polygon confirmed she changed the ending because she wanted the movie to end on a more positive note than the book because she doesn’t believe people should leave their screens or the theater with a bleak point of view. “The movie is slightly more positive. The movie is, in many aspects, different from the book, but it’s also very rooted in the book. The book also has a kind of positive ending and I would not have wanted to do an apocalyptic movie that didn’t have a hopeful ending. In a way, pretty much everything I’ve done has had some sort of a hopeful ending. I’m not particularly interested for the audience to leave, from the cinema or their own screen, with a kind of completely bleak point of view. That’s not really what I believe in.”

Avengers: Endgame May Be 3 Hours Long

ScreenRant reports director Joe Russo that the new Avengers movie will be around the 3-hour mark. This isn’t the first movie in the MCU to run so long, so it really isn’t a surprise that the one that will end the story up to this point will also have such an expansive runtime.
