E3 2019 Jedi Fallen Order gameplay demo

E3 of 2019 has begun and EA set the stage. We got our first real gameplay demo of the upcoming Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. If this was coming from any other publisher I’d be excited as hell. The game looks beautiful, the combat looks awesome and the force powers look fun but I’m weary as hell. I want this game to succeed. I want an epic Star Wars game; it’s been about a decade since the first Force Unleashed game and we are long overdue. At best I’m cautiously optimistic to say the least. May the gaming gods bring you glory.

Super Cane Magic Zero Release Date

Every so often my good friend Sue Yim from Intragames sends me things to look at and pass along to you, and this time it is a quirky comedy action RPG that can be played co-op, developed by Studio Evil and published by Intragames. While many times humor is a bit odd to translate and this one is just now coming to America and Europe on May 30th the premise itself made me smile a bit. Put simply you and a party of characters will be trying to save the world from a dog that has decided to knock out the worlds internet, cover the moon in chocolate and raise an army of vegetables. It will be released for $24.99  on the Switch and PS4 and is also available in early access on Steam for $19.99 and seems to have very positive reviews. Feel free to check out the trailer below and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Overpass Announcement Trailer

So I am sitting at home the other day, wondering what to do with my day while baby savior rips my house apart like 2-year olds do, and my phone goes off. Hey, its an e-mail from Maximum Games. They always send me cool stuff to see. It’s about a game called Overpass. So I checked out the e-mail and watched the trailer and I have to say, seeing Bigben (V Rally 4 Review PS4) attached to it and Zordix racing had me interested.

This time around you will be driving Quads and buggies and driving across extreme tracks up logs and rocky slopes with real vehicles from Yamaha, Suzuki and Arctic Cat. As of now all I can say is there will definitely be a career mode and multiplayer and it will be released in October 2019 for PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC. Enjoy the trailer which has some pretty good music, and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Imperator Rome (Preview)

Imperator Rome is the newest grand strategy game from Paradox Interactive, the people that made Victoria 2 (PC) and Stellaris Console Edition (PS4). Due to release April 25th (Yes tomorrow) this time the fine people over at paradox bring us all the way back to the classical era and the founding of the Roman Empire. It has many of the same characteristics of the others, a massive map you will spend most of your time looking at and a ton of menus but they all look much more crisp and clean.  They also gave out copies very early for people on youtube so you know exactly what you are buying (I will share a couple videos below) which I love. Nothing beats a company that is upfront and confident in their product. They are hiding absolutely nothing about this which I appreciate.

If you like grand strategy games, this one is worth looking at but if you haven’t played one before I have to be honest, be careful. They have a huge learning curve. They can be frustrating and hard to learn but once you do you will wonder why you struggled. Best wishes, and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

This one is a bit long but gives a good idea of what you are buying and how to play.

Castlevania Collection Lineup Confirmed by Konami

Konami took their time, but we finally have a full list confirming all 8 games coming with the Castlevania Anniversary Collection. It will include the first 3 released on the NES as well as Super Castlevania from the Super NES (making 4 games) Castlevania The Adventure (Gameboy) Belmonts revenge (also Gameboy) Bloodlines from the Sega Genisis and to finish  the 8 games Kid Dracula which received a remake sequel of sorts on the Gameboy but was this version was a Japan-only release.

Honestly, for any fan of the series or anyone wanting to try it out, eight games for $20 is a steal and you should give it a shot. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Mortal Kombat 11 Launch Trailer Features Original Music

When MK11 was first shown there was a small clash between older and newer fans, and it was rather a dumb one. This is coming from a guy that played the original as a child when it released and remembered when MK11 almost killed gaming and was basically responsible for the creation of the ESRB when parents freaked over the blood that looked like spray paint. That clash was over the music and it not being the original music, which is now in the official launch trailer.

Seeing as how the story is about the past and present meet the music thing makes sense, and it really makes sense they didn’t suddenly just go back to the original music with the first trailer. While I am happy to see it back, maybe this will finally make some of them stop complaining about it. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Anno 1800 Open Beta Review

It has truly been a long time since I played an Anno game. I am talking early 2000’s long time. I didn’t really know what to expect coming into this, but it was free and I will always check out a free game or beta when I have the time.

The beta starts off with you needing some money to get home to your sister so you use dynamite to blow up some fish. This will teach you how to use items and move the ship around, and it made me chuckle so that was fun. After this, it is a quick sail home to shock your friend and servant whose life you saved at some point with the fact that you are rich which will admittedly annoy him since you were just blowing up fish for cash and sleeping in barns while you and your family own an island and hundreds if not thousands of buildings.

Turns out dear old dad died in prison after being accused of treason and your sister needs your help to not only clear his name, but build a new empire and deal with your jackass uncle. I won’t go further into the story they shared because it does go along with the game they will be releasing but you will be attempting to unravel a pretty in-depth conspiracy it seems, and it did have me quite interested and I was a little disappointed to see it end.

As for the gameplay and graphics, both were smooth and offered me no problems even on my laptop even on medium settings. Building your town feels fluid and offered no problems and I never really felt like I didn’t know what was going on. Each building is explained pretty well and I didn’t really have to ask how they worked which I appreciated. The full release is looking like it will be worth buying. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Borderlands: Game of The Year Edition

Coming April 3rd and The unfortunate victim of some huge technical issues at PAX East we instead got to listen to people working on the game tell us a few things, for example, it will be in 4k and it moved from being 2 player co-op to 4 player split screen. Luckily you can now find all the details in the trailer on youtube (Down Below) and below that, I will include the Handsome Jack Collection update as well. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Persona 5: The Royal

Persona 5: The Royal is the newest Persona revealed by Atlus. It’s a short video, only 45 seconds but reveals a new female character that seems to disapprove of the actions of the Phantom Thieves. Enjoy the video below and a rough translation from gematsu below that.

A short teaser commercial debuted following today’s Persona 5 the Animation: Stars and Ours broadcast. In it, a voice asks, “What do you think of the Phantom Thieves?” A new female character responds, “I think helping people is a wonderful thing, but if I had to say, I don’t like them. I don’t think the Phantom Thieves’ methods will make the world a better place or help anyone. In the end, I feel like you can only solve that yourself.”
