The Revenge of Shinobi

The Revenge of Shinobi (known as Shinobi 2:The Revenge) is the typical 80’s ninja revenge story.

The sound is top notch and the visuals are solid as well. Honestly the game is a challenge and not because of the controls. While like the other games from Sega Forever the controls are a bit stiff, they don’t take away from the experience. It is really worth checking out just for the retro feel. I enjoyed my time with it and it is good to kill some time. May the gaming gods bring you glory.

Virtual Tennis

So far all of the Sega Forever games I have checked out have been good. This one however does not translate over well. Sure graphically it is beautiful for a Mobile Sega game. While the controls themselves aren’t bad the smaller screen gives very little reaction time and when you add in the small delay on the screen it becomes unnecessarily difficult  in some situations. Unless you are a die hard fan of the game or tennis I’d suggest skipping this one. As always thanks and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Golden Axe

Golden Axe is the story of 3 heroes , a dwarf, a warrior and an amazon as they seek revenge against Death Adder whom took over their once peaceful land.

The visuals are good for a cell phone game. The controls are passable but a little stiff for my taste but other than that it is a pretty great port for any one that either missed the original or just want to play it over again.

Sega Forever is doing a great job releasing these games on mobile and while all of them aren’t what I would have preferred it is still an excellent selection. May the gaming gods bring you glory.

Altered Beast

Sega Forever continues to release more and more games, and Altered Beast is a welcomed addition. Visually it is solid and while the controls aren’t as fluid as I would like they are do the job.

The story is a bit aged, taking place in ancient Greece Zues revives our hero in order to save his daughter Athena and grants you the ability to transform into various creatures such as a wearwolf. While I am sure many have already played this game, if you want to revisit it and need a quick way to kill some time this will do the job. Best wishes, and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Jurassic World Evolution

Jurasic world Evolution will allow you to build your own dinosaur theme park around the release of the movie. Not much has been released about this new project from Frontier however back in the Original Xbox and PS2 days there was a game called operation Genesis which was basically the same thing and to this day is one of my favorite games from my childhood.

Regardless I am looking forward to building my own park and maybe letting a few dinosaurs escape to kill a few things. May the gaming gods have mercy on my soul, and bring you glory.

5 Favorite Heros

Like my last one about villains this one is in no real order, and only 1 per series. Spoilers will be involved.

H1 mario

Mario is self explanatory. Probably the biggest and original gaming icon. He has saved kingdoms, multiple princesses, destroyed evil gangs won some cart races, played every sport imaginable and this is just the tip of the Mario resume. He should be the head of any hero list.

H2 Vivi

“How do you prove that you exist? Maybe we don’t exist” This is the guiding question for the absolute most adorable black mage ever created. Seriously if you play this game and don’t love Vivi you may not even be human. He may also be the most powerful black mage to ever exist.

H3 Doom guy

Lets be honest, without Doom Guy and his BFG first person shooters would not be what they are today. This man went to hell and back for humanity more times than once, and that earns this nameless man his spot.

H4 mega man

The Blue Bomber may be the originator of hard games for me, but he also has saved the world probably more than anyone on this list. His constant battle with evil robots seems to be never ending, and i’m ok with that.

H5 leon

Leon S. Kennedy of Resident evil 2 resident evil 4 and resident evil 6 is the undeniable workhorse of the resident Evil world. Whether its shooting zombies as a cop, protecting the Presidents daughter from a cult or whatever the hell was going on in 6, Leon is the man.

5 Favorite Villains

This will be a little different. This is just 5 of my favorite bad guys. The simple rules I set for myself were no repeats from a series since admittedly it would just be RPG characters. They also are not in any particular order. Suffice it to say there will be spoilers.

V1 Pagan min

The bad guy of Far Cry 4, Pagan Min. This guy is flamboyant, intelligent and bat shit crazy. After beating a guy to death with what appears to be an ink pen, he takes you back to his place for a nice meal. From here you can wait around and get the hidden ending or leave blow shit up and eventually end up in the same spot, but either way Pagan Min makes the trip worth it.

V2 luca blight

Luca Bright of Suikoden 2 is the epitome of a bad guy that is insane with good reason. I won’t get into much detail but t has to do with his mother. This dude grows up, grabs a family ruin and goes on a killing spree with an army. At one point he makes a woman crawl around and act like a pig, then he kills her anyway pretty much for being a pig. This dude also like a champ taking tons of arrows before the fight then giving you a run for your money.

v3 Ardyn Izunia

Ardyn Izunia is the newest character on the list, but no less deserving. This guy is charismatic and incidentally incredibly powerful, but what would you expect from a guy that is immortal?  This guy also happens to be the guy on this list that comes closest to destroying the world.

V4 Zeon

Zeon is the oldest entry and comes from an old Sega Genesis   game called  Shining Force 2. Zeon is also the most truly evil person here. His existence is for no other reason than to be king of the demons and wants to rule the world and destroy the gods themselves. He also has no issue burning his own people alive that fail or displease him.

V5 Zombie Hitler

The only member of the list based entirely off a real person, from the Zombie Army Trilogy series none other than Zombie Hitler. In fact I basically bought this game to see and hopefully shoot Zombie Hitler. What is there to know? Whats wore than Hitler? Zombie Hitler.

If you decide to go chasing these evil bastards down stay safe, and may the gaming gods bring you  glory.

Kerbal Space Program. Hardest game for PS4?

Kerbal-Space-Program-PS4-Review.jpg

A lot of times when people discuss the hardest games on PS4 or in general we hear about Dark souls and Bloodborne. Once in awhile I hear about Darkest Dungeon and once even Crash Bandacoot. Now this is . totally opinion based discussion and I don’t think there is a really right or wrong answer.

Enter Kerbal Space Program. This is a game I doubt most PS4 players have heard of let alone played. And it seems like a simple concept. You play in a make believe solar system on the planet Kerbal which is much like earth. There are other planets and moons of course and as you probably guessed by the title the object of the game is to build up the kerbals space program and build rockets and such to explore the solar system shown below.

This all sounds simple enough. And while I may not be the most intelligent person on Earth I do have a fundamental understanding of physics. And this game has kicked my ass since it came out. I have watched videos, some by an legitimate astrophysicist, read articles watched tutorials over and over again. The problem? Well while I have a fundamental understanding of how it all works what I do not have is the practical knowledge to go with it. I once managed to send a probe to one of Kerbals moons ( named mun) and can orbit Kerbal maybe half the time I am horrible at the game, tho I do enjoy the explosions when I fail. I have logged probably 60-70 hours into the game and have gone nowhere. So while I ran through bloodborne in half that time Kerbal continues to be a fun yet rage inducing experience. Is this the hardest game on PlayStation 4? Well for me yes, tho I imagine for most people it should be in the conversation. As always, may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Demon Gaze 2

DGII_PV2_Teaser_US.jpg

Demon Game is set to release this Fall for the PS4 and PS Vita. From the company that brought us the Disgaea this dungeon crawler.

The world is Asteria, and it is at the mercy of Magnastar and it is up to the Revolutionist Party to overthrow him. You play as the Demon Gazer and with the powers of demons you must lead the revolution to save the place.

The dungeons seem to be done in a grid based style with a first person turn based battle system. From the creators of Disgaea I am expecting a great story and some good laughs. Hopfully we find out this Fall, and while we wait may the gaming gods bring you glory.
