My Thoughts On The 2018 Game Awards

As we all know the 2018 Game Awards were this past Thursday, with Red Dead Redemption 2 and God of War winning many awards including to my surprise God Of War winning Game of the year. This isn’t a bad thing by any means, it is a great game and very much deserving of the win.

The show itself was kind of hit and miss for me with the music section and a few of the guest being almost cringed worthy at times. That is really just my personal opinion, after all, us gamers aren’t exactly known for our outgoing and social personalities.

There were plenty of great premieres such as Mortal Kombat 11.

The huge surprise and win for Nintendo tho was the world premiere of Nintendo Exclusive Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3.

This to me was the big takeaway from it all, that not only is Nintendo chasing more mature games like Doom and Diablo it is chasing high profile exclusives. And that to me is a great thing. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Men in Black International

As many of you know there is a Men in Black spinoff (or maybe reboot?) coming soon. The story and details are being kept closely guarded but it has an official title at long last, Men in Black International. ScreenRant has more of the details. Personally and quite possibly because of my age, I feel it is a little too soon for this and is entirely not needed. Sadly I am just one man with a blog. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Unreal Tournament and an Unreal Wait

Sadly, as reported by Variety Unreal Tournament while not dead isn’t being actively worked on or developed and hasn’t received an update since 2017. The cause is understandable considering they are using those people and resources to produce Fortnight which is a cash cow for Epic Games but many fans are quite obviously feeling betrayed and let down. Unreal Tournament has had a large and loyally following for decades and is now being tossed aside.

That being said, how can anyone be surprised? Love it or hate it Fortnight has become bigger than anyone has ever dreamed and has struck a cord even outside of gaming itself with many rappers and athletes joining streams to play it, so how could they not focus on it? This understanding, however, doesn’t make it any less frustrating for many sadly. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory,

Elite Dangerous Beyond Chapter 4: Release Date

After a long wait, Beyond, Chapter 4 finally has a release date. December 11th to be exact, as reported by Eurogamer. As many of you are aware I have a long history with this game and have spent many hours simply exploring. This update most likely will bring that back. Hope to see you out there, and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Blizzard Publically States New Diablo Products to be Revealed in 2019

Variety has reported that Blizzard has posted in their official forums that in 2019 they will reveal new Diablo products, tho they would rather show than tell and as such are waiting until things are a bit further along than they currently are. This seems pretty normal but many people feel it is nothing more than a PR stunt over the anger over Diablo Immortal that has many fans upset. Personally, I am interested in trying it, but we will see what the future brings. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Alien Blackout Could Be Revealed Soon

Variety and many others are reporting that 20th Century Fox has trademarked the name Alien: Blackout. There have also been some hints that maybe it will be announced at the gaming awards in December. Either way, this should be good news for Alien fans, best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Lost Romero Film Found: The Amusement Park

As odd as it sounds, Screenrant reports that a long lost George Romero horror film called The Amusement Park. The movie is apparently so obscure most people didn’t know it existed until recently. This 60-minute film has been mostly unseen since 1973. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

San Lee: 12/28/1922- 11/12/2018.

It is with great sorrow and sadness we at Savior Gaming report that great comic book writer, editor, and publisher, and hero to millions has passed away at the age of 95. I won’t spend long going over his many many creations, such as Black Panther, many of the X-Men and Avengers or our love of his cameo appearance in movies. These all speak for themselves. In honor of this legend of entertainment just remember, while with great power comes great responsibility, Stan Lee proved you don’t need to be superhuman to be a hero to someone. May the gaming gods bring his family peace, and Mr. Lee to his rightful place in glory.

Cranston Responds To Breaking Bad Movie

We have all heard the story of a new Breaking Bad Movie and entertainment has reported that Bryan Cranston has commented on it. Turns out He hasn’t seen or read the script and raised the question of is he even in the movie? I haven’t actually watched the show ( save your hatred for later) but it is a wild thought, I can’t imagine him not being in it. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
