Favorite Monster, Godzilla (Savior)

There could be no other choice for me except for the king of monsters, Godzilla. As a child, I was obsessed and in love with him, the noise he made the monsters he fought was all just so amazing to me as a kid. It was also a fond memory I had with my father as once a year we would stay up all night watching the movies. It also so happens that one of my favorite songs is about him.

Over the years Godzilla has changed drastically, started out as nothing than a guy in a suit to being a huge computer-rendered beast but he has always been my favorite and will continue to be so. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone! It is me and @torstenvblog favorite holiday in case you somehow didn’t notice. Later today we will be finishing up our favorite monsters, taking my kids Trick or Treating. but before all that, I wanted to thank you all for another amazing month and I hope you are all careful and have a great night. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Movie Review: American Fright Fest (2018) — Once Upon The Wytching Hour

I watched Fright Fest (which is the title I watched it by but it’s American Fright Fest on IMBD) alone as the boy went out to a Halloween party. A small town hires Spencer Crowe, a legendary horror movie director whose fallen on hard times to produce a fright fest for the town in the […]

Dead House (2014)

I put off watching Dead House for what seems like forever because it just seemed like a silly movie. Thieves break into a house only to discover hidden in the basement is a house of the dead. A silly but fun movie it seemed like admittedly.

I was so damn wrong and should have avoided this damn movie for longer. First, the thieves are essentially demented rapist that film it and stop to steal money from a safe for about 10 seconds to move the plot along. It is pretty graphic, so if you are easily upset or bothered by such things don’t watch it and definitely not around children.

The zombie portion doesn’t even show up until the last 20 minutes or so and even that seemed to be there for no other reason than to give us a twist ending and some shock value. Truthfully everything done in this movie is done somewhere else and it is done better. The movie has no real redeeming qualities outside of the acting being pretty well done on all parts. If you are morbidly curious feel free to give it a watch, aside from that skip this burning heap. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

SpaceWhip (PS4)

SpaceWhip is a free to play game on PS4 that is quite similar to the old Asteroids game from years ago. You defend a stationary city by shooting aliens from the city. The game looks pretty nice and sounds pretty good for a free to play, and is quite simple for both adults and kids as the description claims.

The game, however, is extremely short and while fun truthfully if I had paid money for this I would have been very pissed off. Don’t get me wrong, since it is free it is worth a playthrough but it won’t take you very long and that is the issue for me. Even for free they could have put some effort into it beyond it being fun for half an hour. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Ilya Kuvshinov Interview — Before The Clock Strikes 12

Hello, everyone! I hope you are all doing well! I had the opportunity to do some really awesome things at Comic-Con Africa 2019 last month. I had the chance to interview South African comic artist Warren Louw and if you have not had the chance to check out that interview yet, you can find it […]

Second Galaxy (Mobile)

Some games just should never be put on a cell phone, and this feels like one of them. The game isn’t actually bad by the way. It looks beautiful and sounds great. It controls just fine with most of it just being you choosing abilities at the push of a button. It just feels like on mobile it is so much more limited than it needed to be. What could have been a wide-open and amazing instead it just felt like nothing special in any way shape or form to me. I played for a few hours and lost interest. Truthfully there is nothing wrong with this game, it looks and plays well and the story is good, I just didn’t enjoy it. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

The Last of Us Two Delayed Until May

Sadly the rumor was going around and confirmed by Naughty Dog, The Last of Us Part 2 has been delayed from February 21st, 2020 until May 29th, 2020. This was probably done for many reasons tho I have seen some speculate that maybe they just don’t want to compete with other large games coming out around that time. Either way, this is sad news for many of us. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Adams Family Mystery Mansion (Mobile)

Adams Family Mystery Mansion is another game where they took a popular franchise and found a way to take their city, or in this case their home, to pieces and you get to put it back together. This time after a vacation Gomez decides to surprise Morticia by reverting their mansion to how it was before they bought it. Tho their kids and stuff are still inside it when you unlock their rooms.

It also quickly becomes quickly apparent there is quite the cash grab involved. Probably the 2nd character you can unlock basically requires quite a bit of grinding or for you to buy in-game currency. This one just wasn’t fun for me despite the fact that I loved it when they did this with Family Guy and even the Simpsons was quite a bit of fun despite it being a worse game from a technical standpoint.

Truthfully unless you are a big fan of The Addams Family, just skip this one. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
