There isn’t much known about this new IP from Bethesda and while there isn’t much known about it, it doe’s seem rather interesting and oddly beautiful. The premise is simple. One day, people disappear, leaving nothing but their cloths behind. After this a mysterious and presumably evil force shows up. Your job is to fight that force, and discover the truth about what has happened.
It seems to be pretty action oriented to me but really it is far to soon to tell, tho it is thought to be a new horror game. This one is worth keeping an eye on. Best wishes, and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
I can’t say I feel the hype for E3 this year as I have before, but I can tell you I’m pumped as hell for Doom: Eternal after seeing the story trailer. I love that beside slaying the armies of hell, we’ll also be clashing against the might of heaven as well which opens a lot of new doors for the series. Doom: Eternal is definitely going on my pre-order list. May the gaming gods bring you glory.
This one came out of left field for me. With the original source code known to be lost and years upon years of waiting and SE basically just saying sorry guys, not happening, to finally see it getting some love is pretty cool. The only thing more amazing to me than it happening is that it doesn’t have a definitive release date, simply sometime in 2019.
This tho does make sense, if the tale of much of the code being lost it would be much harder to simply port over and remaster than any of the other games in the series. Will it be a good remaster, I don’t know. The fact however that PC already has FF8 but the remaster is coming to PS4,Xbox, Switch, and Steam makes me think they are doing some decent work on the title. I am just going to piss everyone off today. Seriously, what the hell is this? It is a story based game with only five characters, but they will be adding more for free with no loot boxes, which is usually code for get ready to buy a ton of cosmetics. They reveal an entire game with no real game play, and they all pretty much look like Avenger stunt doubles from an unreleased generic 90’s cartoon. I’m not saying the game won’t be good, nobody can say that, because they didn’t really show the damn game.
It could be interesting, but this E3 just made me stop looking forward to it. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
This week we saw the battle system in action and found out this first release of the multiple game release for Final Fantasy 7 remake would simply be inside of Midgar. They have been pretty up front about this being expanded upon greatly, but honestly considering it will be a fully priced game and the fact that I have already played the whole story, and other games like Witcher 3 and Elder Scrolls Skyrim have been hundreds of hours at release, I see no reason for this game to be this way outside of Square Enix using it as a massive cash grab because they know fans, including myself, will buy it anyway.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think this will be a short game. It will be beautiful and surely 40-60 hours long, of that I have no doubt. But they are still splitting up a game that doesn’t need to be split up just to sell it multiple times.
The battle system also seems weird, like they are attempting to placate older fans with the ATB system while making it more appealing to newer fans with it being more action oriented, and in the end this won’t really make anyone truly happy. it will mostly be mashing buttons to charge up the gauge and use an item or an attack then to mash more buttons. The materia being shown in weapons is pretty cool, and I like that idea. But to say I have some issues and concerns, is putting it mildly. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

E3 of 2019 has begun and EA set the stage. We got our first real gameplay demo of the upcoming Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. If this was coming from any other publisher I’d be excited as hell. The game looks beautiful, the combat looks awesome and the force powers look fun but I’m weary as hell. I want this game to succeed. I want an epic Star Wars game; it’s been about a decade since the first Force Unleashed game and we are long overdue. At best I’m cautiously optimistic to say the least. Every so often my good friend Sue Yim from Intragames sends me things to look at and pass along to you, and this time it is a quirky comedy action RPG that can be played co-op, developed by Studio Evil and published by Intragames. While many times humor is a bit odd to translate and this one is just now coming to America and Europe on May 30th the premise itself made me smile a bit. Put simply you and a party of characters will be trying to save the world from a dog that has decided to knock out the worlds internet, cover the moon in chocolate and raise an army of vegetables. It will be released for $24.99 on the Switch and PS4 and is also available in early access on Steam for $19.99 and seems to have very positive reviews. So I am sitting at home the other day, wondering what to do with my day while baby savior rips my house apart like 2-year olds do, and my phone goes off. Hey, its an e-mail from Maximum Games. They always send me cool stuff to see. It’s about a game called Overpass. So I checked out the e-mail and watched the trailer and I have to say, seeing Bigben (V Rally 4 Review PS4) attached to it and Zordix racing had me interested.
This time around you will be driving Quads and buggies and driving across extreme tracks up logs and rocky slopes with real vehicles from Yamaha, Suzuki and Arctic Cat. As of now all I can say is there will definitely be a career mode and multiplayer and it will be released in October 2019 for PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC. Imperator Rome is the newest grand strategy game from Paradox Interactive, the people that made Victoria 2 (PC) and Stellaris Console Edition (PS4). Due to release April 25th (Yes tomorrow) this time the fine people over at paradox bring us all the way back to the classical era and the founding of the Roman Empire. It has many of the same characteristics of the others, a massive map you will spend most of your time looking at and a ton of menus but they all look much more crisp and clean. They also gave out copies very early for people on youtube so you know exactly what you are buying (I will share a couple videos below) which I love. Nothing beats a company that is upfront and confident in their product. They are hiding absolutely nothing about this which I appreciate.
If you like grand strategy games, this one is worth looking at but if you haven’t played one before I have to be honest, be careful. They have a huge learning curve. They can be frustrating and hard to learn but once you do you will wonder why you struggled. Best wishes, and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
