Truck Driver Coming To Nintendo Switch

SOEDESCO® announced that Truck Driver is coming both digitally and physically to Nintendo Switch™. The well-received trucking experience released on Playstation®4 and Xbox One last year and has since received several significant updates. The Nintendo Switch version will come with these improvements, as well as Nintendo specific features, including tilt controls and HD Rumble support.

Truck Driver offers a unique trucking experience with a wide range of cargo and interesting characters to work with. For the Nintendo Switch version, Truck Driver supports solo horizontal grip and tilt controls. The game also gets HD Rumble support, which allows for subtle and fast changing vibrations that will increase the gaming experience.

Since the game released on PS4 and Xbox One in September last year, Truck Driver received a new photo mode, rain effects on windshields, wipers, and several updates that improve the overall player experience of the game. Currently, Truck Driver is getting a Unity engine upgrade, which will result in smoother frame rates, less stutters and an overall improvement in graphics with better shades and textures. Further improving the game will continue to be a priority for SOEDESCO and development studio Kokku. All the updates will be implemented into the Nintendo Switch version as well, which makes it a great addition to all trucker fans out there who’d like to be a truck driver on the road.

Blood Of Steel Delayed

Evolution Studio, Chinese-based development studio of YC Games have announced that free-to-play MOBA Blood of Steel will not launch today as previously planned, due to public holidays in China being extended in order to suppress the effect of the Coronavirus. This delay has had a knock on effect on the development cycle, meaning that extra time is needed to add the final polish to the game.

The studio explained that “development has stopped and the team is still holding off at home, so the scheduled release in February would not be possible. The new release date is TBD but the team will try to make it happen in Spring”. Blood of Steel was initially scheduled for release on February 20th.

In Blood of Steel, you command the army of a legendary commander from world history to conquer cities and expand your territory against other players online to ultimately rule the world. Set throughout the Middle Ages, players choose from multiple authentic battlefields as they engage in 5-v-5, 7-v-7 or 10-v-10 legion-based battles, with each individual player allowed to lead up to 40 AI soldiers. Clever use of terrain, management of different troop types and adapting to dynamic weather systems incorporating variables such as rain and snow are the keys to victory. As well as the  legion-based warfare, players can play a one-on-one duel in PvP battles in the Heroes Arena, offering them a chance to truly show their mastery of the complex fighting system.

Blood of Steel has been out in China for 3 years since it’s initial closed beta, and has accumulated more than 20 million downloads. With over 100 thousand DAU players on the Chinese server already, Blood of Steel is ready to officially join the global market with the upcoming English version, coming to Steam. Over the past 3 years the development team have introduced a greater diversity of heroes and improving the balance of the game fully preparing it for the global market.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

fallen order

Hell may have frozen over because EA gave us what I’m saying is honestly the best Star Wars gaming experience I’ve ever had. Remember EA? The ones who crushed so many souls with such disasters as Anthem, Star Wars: Battlefront as well as the catastrophic Battlefront II, and Mass Effect: Andromeda. It was looking like EA had gone to the Dark Side without a sign of redemption, but here we have it…

Years after Order 66 decimated the Jedi and the Empire conquered the galaxy, the Inquisitors under Darth Vader hunt the last remnants of the Jedi. Cal Kestis was a child padawan when 66 dropped; he’s grown up in hiding, living job to job in secret and afraid of the day when he’s found. One day, he uses the force to save a friend and the Empire comes, lead by the Second Sister, a powerful Inquisitor. Saved by a runaway Jedi master and a ex scoundrel, it’s up to Cal to recover his power, face not only the demons of his past as well of those of his new friends, and find a artifact that could reinstate the Jedi or damn the universe forever armed only with his lightsaber, the Force, and his helpful droid BD-1.

Despite the hugely positive reviews, I was hugely skeptical but for the most part I was blown away. Gameplay feels like a healthy, fluid mix of Souls and Uncharted while feeling unique on it’s own. Shockingly, especially in this day and age in gaming, the bulk of the game is story with a ton of collectibles ( many a which are parts to build your own lightsaber from scratch). The story is damn good and adds a lot to Star Wars lore without beating you senseless with aimless nostalgia like Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker tried doing. I got invested in the characters more than I have in Star Wars in a while, and I was rooting for them as the plot thickened, even sympathizing with the tragic Inquisitors. I do have some issues sadly. On certain worlds, the graphics do get muddy; whether the graphical dampening is because I’m not playing on a 4K TV matters or not I’m not sure. Also another problem I have are the frequent, long load times as well as the hard crashes that made me go back a ways. Despite some issues, this is a great game I can’t recommend enough and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
