Nintendo Killing Rom Sites

Yup, in recent months Nintendo has sued 2 huge rom sites ( more on that here) which I get, from a business sense they need to. They are selling their own emulator machines with the NES and SNES classics and the rumored N64 classic. It wouldn’t make sense to let people give away the games they themselves are attempting to sell. On the flip side, it isn’t easy to find the games we all loved growing up. Most of the time finding them isn’t easy. It has gotten easier in the internet era obviously. Gone are the days of hitting flea markets and such in hopes of finding your favorite game. Granted it is still fun and I love doing it. The hunt is actually half the fun.

Sadly sometimes the game you want is just impossible to find, enter game emulators and roms. Just pop those suckers onto your computer, maybe handheld or one of the aforementioned classics Nintendo released and away you go.

Now however out of fear of legal action from Nintendo some sites are shutting themselves down. Emuparadise is the latest site to stop shelling out retro games, tho this one is self-imposed. PC Mag has the full story. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Superman and The Witcher

According to various sources, Henry Cavill also know as Super Man would love to play Geralt, also known as The Witcher in the upcoming Netflix adaptation of, of course, The Witcher. He has also admittedly to no only playing the games he has also read the comics which the games are based on. For more info feel free to clock here. Flash Movie Set to Film in February

Going to be 100% honest,the lego flash picture has nothing to do with anything, I just liked it. Anyway reportedly the solo Flash film will start filming come February 2019. Anyone that saw Justice League (2017) will probably be expecting this to be a pretty comedic role, much like I am. Halloween and William Shatner

No I am not here to tell you something pretty much every horror fan already knows and explain about The Halloween mask and the Shatner mask. The producer of Halloween would actually like to work with William Shatner and some how get the Iconic Star Trek captain that has essentially lent ( unwillingly admittedly) to the Halloween universe. The Return Of Picard..Engage.

That headline actually isn’t a mistake. Set 20 years after Star Trek Nemesis, a new as of yet Untitled Star Trek series set to be on CBS streaming service will feature the return of Sir Patrick Stewart’s Picard. Now honestly I gave pretty damn mixed feelings about this, and the fact that it will be on a streaming service I have 0 interest in paying for since I pay for enough stuff as it is makes this a hard choice for me. Fox and Disney Officially Vote to Merge

While there are a lot of details out there and many people are focusing on many things, and of course the memes. My god the memes.

The memes have been great, but now the time has come. Fox and Disney share holders have voted to merge, meaning its all but certain that Disney will own the rights to Fox movies. For more of the gory details look at Screenrant and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

The Division 2 Beta Record

Earlier this year Ubisoft announced The Division 2 and started taking sign-ups for the beta. The previous Division game held the companies previous record for most beta sign ups for the company, well The Division 2 reportedly has 4 times as many. They have yet to confirm exactly how the beta will work or what it will entail, but as you can tell people are excited. For more details check Gamerant.com.

Billy Dee Williams To Return for Star Wars Episode IX

People have long been wondering if Lando would be showing up in the Star Wars movies again, and we now finally have an answer. We don’t know how big of a role or in what capacity but it has been confirmed that Billy Dee Williams will in some capacity be in the upcoming Star Wars Episode IX movie according to Rotten Tomatoes and Gamespot.

Personally with the sudden passing of Carrie Fisher and what we will have to assume is death of Princess Leia he will most likely ne showing up as some sort of role to guide our new heroes towards where they need to go next as he is the last remaining from the original series with Han dead and Luke being whatever Luke currently is. Good bye Friday The 13th

As always, everyone and their brother has a Friday the 13th post, mine is a simple recognition that thanks to the ongoing lawsuit over the rights to the movie franchise, Friday the 13th the game is essentially dead. Don’t get me wrong, the game is still out there. As I type this a friend of mine is actually on PSN playing it, in fact I think this is all she plays.
