This is going to be a little unusual because there is no trailer, but a poster tells alot. I’ve never been a huge M. Night Shyamalan fan but I loved Split and wanted to check out Unbreakable after the end credits scene, which I thought was merely a set up for a sequel. But a crossover? That I wasn’t expecting. I think it’s a cool idea and don’t get me wrong, I’m seriously hyped for this movie but let’s not ignore the elephant in the room: Shyamalan doesn’t have the greatest track record. The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs- all well loved and well received movies. But we also have After Earth, The Happening, and The Last AirBender which damaged his career. I’m cautiously optimistic in that regard because while I’m a huge fan of his work, I respect that he tries doing something different, especially in a world of reboots and sequels. I have my fingers crossed and I can’t wait for the trailer. May the gaming gods bring you glory.

Spider-man sequel title announced
After Avengers: Infinity War I’ve had a lot of people ask how Spidey and Black Panther and others are getting movies still. Well, that’s the magic of comics. So a couple days ago, Tom Holland was shown with the new title of the the sequel to Spider-man: Homecoming , Spider-man: Far from Home. Obviously this can mean many a things. Will Spidey be stranded on Titan, having to find his way back to Earth? I doubt it, mainly because I’ve heard a lot of buzz of Mysterio being the next major villain we’ll being seeing as well as a lot of buzz about the story being centered around a field trip to London, if I’m not mistaken. Either way, it’s extremely early but it has been confirmed Spider-man: Far from Home will be the first movie in Phase 4 of the MCU. May the gaming gods bring you glory.
Halloween 2018 first trailer
He’s back! I know this isn’t my usual time to post, but considering the occasion I think it can be forgiven. As a babe in diapers, two icons have haunted my nightmares for 27 years, making me want to spread the fear someday with my own stories of horror. Michael Myers, the shape, is tied for my favorite horror character next to the Alien. After the soul crushing defeat after watching Rob Zombie’s remakes and after a string of aimless sequels leading to a busted continuity, we get a movie that rewrites history, erasing all but the very original. Normal, these kind of deals don’t sit right with me but I love the look and vibe I got from the trailer. For the first time in a long time, I felt a buzz of terror seeing Michael lurking the streets of Haddonfield once again to the classic Carpenter score. Laurie, reprised by Jamie Lee Curtis , seems badass if not traumatized which isn’t far from H20 but seems more maddened which is a cool twist. Michael looks haggard but appropriately so, unlike Zombie’s. I am excited as hell, like fanboy nerdgasm right now and I’m pumped. Spawn/ Spawn: origins
So it was officially announced that Jaime Fox will be playing Al Simmons/ Spawn in the reboot, which I’m totally pumped for. Spawn was a groundbreaking character in the 90’s, ultra-violent, bloody, dark almost Grindhouse type anti hero which no one really saw before. In the 90’s, during the height of Spawn’s popularity we got a live action movie, sure to be full of blood, gore, mayhem and dark ass themes right? It’s pg-13. Enough said.
In the movie, Al Simmons is a former marine turned assassin for the government, turned to doing some maybe not nice shit for his boss named Jason Wynn. Al has a loving family, his wife Wanda and daughter Cyan and best friend Terry always has his back. During a mission, Wynn betrays Simmons with his assassin, burning him alive. Al ends up in hell, given a deal by the devil: become the hell-spawn and lead the armies of hell and in return he can avenge his death. Al agrees, being sent back to Earth months after his death, deformed and registered dead. In pain, Al is haunted by the Clown, a demonic henchmen who taunts the newly knighted Spawn and makes sure he keeps his end up. As it turns out, Wynn plays a part of a plot to bring Armageddon to Earth. As the story plays out, Al understands he is being toyed with and decides to fight back against the devil and Clown and save the family he lost, but can he master his new abilities and defeat the hordes of hell?
So much like the comparison I made with Superman: Earth One and Man of Steel , I can for the Spawn movie and the Spawn origins, volume 1. You get the same basic premise but there are some key differences. The comic is much bloodier and much darker themed- there’s a issue where Spawn brutality kills a pedophile ice cream man. The writing is meh, but there is a better sense of pathos in Spawn and a more threatening presence to Clown/ Violator. While not my favorite, I recommend checking out the comic before the movie. The movie has alright acting from Spawn and Clown but Michael Sheen kinda sucks as Jason Wynn. The movie is royally destroyed by the pg-13 rating and really lame effects on top of a lukewarm script at best BUT the actors gave it there best with what they had. So to summarize, read Spawn origins collection vol 1 if you want a good intro to Spawn, watch the movie if you like B movies. I hope the reboot gives us something legendary to remember. Patricia Morison 1915-2018
Earlier this week famed actress from the Broadway musicals Kiss Me Kate and The King and I as well as various movies such as Without Love and Lady on a Train (Both 1945) Born March 15th 1915 and sadly died of natural causes on May 20th 2018, she was 103 years old. May the gaming gods bring her family peace.
Rambo 5?
No, this isn’t a weird click bate article or even a joke. According to screenrant.com and other sources, while unconfirmed (or maybe confirmed by the time you read this) Rambo 5 is actually in the works with Stallone himself looking to both star in and direct the 5th installment of the series. While the last couple did underwhelming in the box office it could be interesting to see if an older John Rambo would be portrayed as an older man attempting to help a younger man accomplish some impossible mission, or if we simply get an old man gunning down people in a jungle. Either way we will have to wait to see if anything happens, best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Everyone knew Infinity was was going to be huge, the real question was going to be how huge, the answer was 2nd highest grossing of all time with an opening day (domestic) of $106 million, only being topped by Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Daniel Craig Confirms, Bond 25 is Next.
As of now very little is known about it, tho you can find some of the details here at screenrant.com. However what is known is that Daniel Craig has confirmed his next movie will be the Bond 25. For bond fans this may be a bit bitter-sweet since the last one was a bit underwhelming,but hopefully for Daniel Craig this will be the one that turns it around. Avengers 4 Title Would Spoil Avengers 3?
With Infinity War fast approaching many fans are wondering why Avengers 4 hasn’t been named yet even tho the movie is officially being made. Well part of the reason for that is apparently knowing the title would actually spoil Infinity war. More to the point, according to digitalspy when one fan make a joke that not knowing scared him, he was told it should. Pretty ominous really. The Shining

Either way you go, the Shining is the story of the Torrance family spending a winter care-taking for the Overlook Hotel. Father, Jack, is a disgraced English Professor and struggling novelist and ex alcoholic. Mom, Wendy, silently resents Jack because he’s a F-up and last time he got drunk accidentally broke there psychic son, Danny’s, arm. While Danny sees things inside the hotel, Jack discovers the dark secrets of the Overlook’s past, things go shit up when they are trapped inside the Hotel and madness ensues, turning Jack against his family…
While the premise is the same, the executions are really damn different. Remember those creepy ass images from the movie: creepy twins, elevator full of blood, and whatever the hell was going on between the bear suit guy and that guy in the tux? Well there’s none of that in the book. In the book we got hedge animals that come alive and a hornets nest… Ok, so sorry no really creepy visuals in the book. What sells the book is the atmosphere and the build up to Jack losing it. The characters in the book are very deep but I can’t say I ever really found the book scary but a family drama with a dark ending. I like the movie better for a few reasons. Whereas I found the Overlook’s history ok in the book, I love the imagery Kubrick created from the same backstory (though the bloody elevator was all him.) I felt the family in the book was actually a loving family that would have been Ok if this didn’t happen, but the family in the movie seemed off, like a family pretending they weren’t about to explode. In the book, it’s plain that it’s a freaking ghost story but it was more intriguing that we didn’t know for sure what the hell was going on. Last was how the movie had a darker ending which I felt more fulfilling.
In the end I thought the book was Ok but the movie is legendary. Stephen King again proved he’s a master storyteller. May the gaming gods bring you glory and happy Easter from us to you.
