As is inevitable with any major release, someone managed to record the movie or at least parts on their cellphone at a rescreening and now spoilers are out. Don’t worry, I won’t be sharing them nor will I be advocating going to find them. Mostly I just wanted to warn you all that they are in fact out there and nobody should share them. If you need to go look for them, be kind and keep them to yourself. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Confirmed PS5 Info from Mark Cerny
It isn’t often I post about the next consoles to come, as I have stated in the past I don’t care for new console rumors. However wired.com spoke to Mark Cerny, a name many of you probably don’t know and rightfully so. He was the lead architect of the PS4 and is the lead architect on the new system that will likely be called the PS5. You can read the Wired article but I am going to touch on some of the key points.
First, Mark was very clear on this, The PlayStation 5 will not be released in 2019. There is also, to quote Mark “Something a little more specialized” built into the S5 in terms of its hard drive and a Solid State Drive you would find for example in your laptop or as an external for your current system. This allows a 15 second load time in Spiderman to take less than 1 second, which again is the example he used in person on a dev kit.
Another notable take away is the PS5 is confirmed backward compatible with PS4 games and will have a disk drive, and multiple companies are currently working on next-gen titles. He also hinted that some of the big titles currently being worked on for this generation are also going to be multiplatform titles.
The biggest news tho is that this will truly be a next-gen console and not just a small step upgrade. For example, it will boast a substantial boost in terms of CPU and GPU that I won’t bore you with, and it will also support 8k, not just 4k. That all seems pretty impressive, but how it all comes together is the important part. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
A Babysitter’s Guide To Monster Hunting Coming to Netflix
A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting is a book by Joe Ballarini. The story is about a girl from middle school name Kelly Ferguson and her plans switching from a Halloween party to sadly babysitting. The kid she is babysitting will get kidnapped by the Boogyman and his minions and that will send Kelly off to save him.
Netflix, with Rachael Talalay as the director, will be adapting this book to a movie. She has always directed episodes of The Flash, SuperGirl, multiple episodes of Doctor Who and Adventures of Sabrina. This may be a pretty good movie for the family as the book is classified as juvenile fiction, best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Disney Plus Cost and Shows
We finally have details on Disney plus, and if you want a full breakdown on the cost you can check Polygon but it is basically $6.99 or a discounted $69.99 when paid for a year. Some of the more recent confirmed things for launch will be The entire Simpsons series and Captain Marvel. Cnet has a pretty good list of shows, but for the price, it is pretty solid, and we can expect a package deal with Hulu at some point. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Octopath Traveler to PC? It Seems Yes.
According to Gematsu Octopath Traveler will be coming to PC on June 7th. This comes from a now-deleted blog post directly from Square Enix and it will be available on both Steam and the Square Enix Store. They didn’t mention any sort of changes, and obviously, I would take this with a grain of salt, but for people that don’t own a Switch, this could be exciting news. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Star Wars Episode IX Teaser
Here it is, Star Wars, The Rise of Skywalker. So far I have seen a few people suggest due to the title the movie will be the redemption story of Kylo as he takes the last name Skywalker. Admittedly this would be interesting tho I still think the name is kind of bad. That being said I think the movie looks solid enough tho we don’t know much about it. The return at the end was also a nice touch. I know @torstenvblog feels a bit differently tho. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Pokemon Go Eggstravaganza
For Pokemon Go fans, from April 16th to April 23rd there will be some baby pokemon in 2k eggs as well as for the first time shiny Buneary and Lopunny. There will also be extra candy and faster egg hatching. For more specifics check out polygon, best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Avengers Endgame to Be Stan Lees Last Cameo on Film
In a recent interview with comicbook.com the Russo brothers confirmed what many of us suspected, Endgame will be the last cameo for Stan Lee. They were however very careful to say last committed to film. This leads me to believe they will continue to carry on the tradition in other ways, maybe with pictures or something of the sort. Either way, I think the legacy of Stan Lee and his cameos will continue. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft Online Services Being Investigated By the UK
As reported by Nintendolife it seems that the UK is investigating whether or not the big three’s online services are fair or not to consumers, most notably their Auto-renew and their cancelation and refund policies. The Competition and Markets Authority basically has some concerns as to the legality of some of these practices and are willing to take action if they are now. This could be an interesting thing to watch. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Disney Promises Alien and Planet of the Apes Not Finished.
As reported by ScreenRant Disney stated at Cinemacon that they felt many of the Fox movies even the R rated ones had life to them and on that list was Alien and Planet of the Apes and they would be made in such a way to allow the R rating they typically don’t make under the Disney banner.
This is great news for many people that have been worried about this sort of thing but it also brings up the interesting question of, if they are going to continue with those franchises will there be new IP’s that will have similar ratings, and will they make it to the Disney streaming service? I obviously have no answers but it is interesting to think about. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
