A long time ago Bethesda was approached about making a Game of Thrones open world RPG, which they chose to make Skyrim instead. Now all this time later target may have leaked a new Bethesda game. A page on the site being reported by Forbes and other places that retailer Target has. A page simply titled Bethesda Game of thrones. Whether or not this is a mistake or intentional or even real remains to be seen but I for one would love to play it. Have a good night and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
After years without a major console release Atari seems to be making a come back with what is called the Ataribox. Not a ton is know about it tho more info can be found below.
Honestly, if this ever actually releases I will be surprised. I hope i’m wrong, but despite that it would be fun to see a hybrid retro console with some newer things along with it. I won’t pretend to know how this turns out, but it would be nice to have a 4th console choice.
Some times something is announced that both excites me and confuses me. This is one of those things.
Sega forever is, for all intents and purposes, games made by Sega free for your cell phone and tablet. With a few games already out including Phantasy Star 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog more will be added periodically until every Sega system is represented. I know some of you are going to be wondering, how does Sega make money on this? Well there will be adds when you start the games up but for a small fee ( $1.99 i believe) you can remove the adds from a game. As of now i have not gotten the chance to play any of them but as we speak Phantasy Star 2 is downloading on my cell phone, look for my review this weekend or early next week. As always thanks for joining me, and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Nintendo has officially confirmed the Super Nintendo Classic is a thing to be launched this year and will include the never released Star Fox 2. More info can be found here.
Lets just hope this isn’t as limited as the NES classic, something many of my friends want but only I seem to have. The 30 games are nice and the system and all its parts work just as well as you would hope and i expect nothing less from the SNES Classic. As always thanks for joining me, and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
First and foremost let me start by saying this, earlier this year u went from a low end 1080 set to a low-medium end 4K. But is the graphical upgrade worth it? Yes and no honestly. My first system i ever played on was an intelivision, a system most people seem to have never even heard of and for a time considered the original Nintendo entertainment system to be the epitome of graphical design. For me graphics while awesome are not exactly important. That being said even with games i played before tossed onto the ps4 saw a definite improvement, and when added to the ps4 pro there was an even greater improvement. That being said, i am also one of the few if not only people i know in person with a 4k t.v. so marketing a system as 4K to me seems like a rather large mistake. The PlayStation 4 pro is an amazing system that I definitely but only if you already have the 4k t.v. to go with it, otherwise it seems rather pointless and have no doubt the new xbox will fall into that same category. See for now 4K is largley a niche market that most people simply can not take advantage of so marketing a system specifically for that seems like a sure way to lower sales. That being said it wont be more than a few more years anyway until 4K becomes common, especially considering more than a couple companies already have an 8K t.v. in development. (and they are expensive as hell) 4k gaming is without a doubt the future and it is coming fast, but we are not quite there yet despite what many believe. As always thanks for joining me, and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Now for those that are not a PC gamer or simply don’t keep up on news, recently Take-Two has decided to put an end to what is basically a mod that allows for modding of the grand theft auto game, you can learn more here.
I have pretty mixed feelings about this personally even tho it doesn’t have anything to do with me as a console gamer. On one hand i feel like its their property, if they do not want you messing with it that is on them and it’s their right as the owner. Then I start to finish the thought, while all of that is true they did for years allow the modding community to flourish. To suddenly decide they no longer wanted to allow that they have effectively slapped an entire section of their fan base across the face. I don’t know what goes into making a mod, but i imagine it no different from making a video game on any RPG maker or even writing a blog, both of which can take hundreds of hour. That is no small amount of time or dedication, and while games like Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption will sell regardless but I have to wonder if they aren’t playing a very dangerous games with their PC sales. I suppose we shall see, as always thank you for joining me, and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Square Enix for me was very underwhelming and uninteresting, I actually shut the damn thing off after about 4 hours on day one. That being said there is plenty to talk about, so lets get started.
First is the PlayStation 4 Final Fantasy Dissidia NT, a 3 on 3 fighting game using characters from the Final Fantasy series as whole. At E3 many battles were fought, one of which saw Cloud, Squall and Zidane fight on one team using an assortment of skills and moves that can be switched in and out before battles. While graphically impressive, the battles are about 5 minutes long and seemed rather simplistic and not in a good way.
This next one leaves much to be desired for me as i see it as one of the Worst numbered games in the series, Final Fantasy 12 The Zodiac Age. And yes that name is long as hell , for me the characters were always bland and Vaan may be the worst hero in Final Fantasy history, and from what I have seen and read they haven’t done much to change that.
Next up, Final Fantasy 14 Stormblood. now i have to say i know nothing about the game or any of its add-ons. That being said it looks nice and it does exist. Another game I don’t know much about beyond it seems like a Final Fantasy 15 inspired fishing game is titles Monsters Of The Deep: Final Fantasy 15.
Last but not least is the much anticipated Life is Strange: Before The Storm. Aside from being Episodic and free this month on playstation plus and sitting on my harddrive waiting to be played i do not know much about this one either aside from it is coming. I know horrible research, but really i’m using this to really accentuate the fact that Square Enix was in my humble opinion the absolute worst part of an otherwise solid E3 this year. Maybe if we get some info on the Final Fantasy 7 remake or They announce some sort of 30th anniversary collection for Final Fantasy you are better off just reading a quick recap. With that being said, thanks for joining me and as always, may the gaming gods bring you glory.
