Halloween 2 To Start Filming in 2019

Blumhouse’s Halloween 2 was always going to be a thing after the success of last years release on the 40th anniversary of the franchise had so much success. Well, we now know it will be filming this fall to release in 2020 most likely to nobodies surprise, in October.

Last years movie had about a 10 million dollar budget and made around 255 million dollars on only a 10 million dollar budget. That is one hell of a profit margin, so a new movie is pretty much a definite. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Top Gun 2

For those that aren’t aware, the movie was confirmed back in 2015 sometimes and was set to release this year, but instead will begin filming sometime this summer. The relase date as of now is June 26th 2020, so a year from now. That seems pretty far off but there is some great news. For example both Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer will be back to reprise their roles as Maverick and Iceman.

The only issue I have is after so many years is this movie necessary and does anyone even really care? The original released back in 1986, a full 32 years ago. On the bright side a lot of people will join the Air Force despite them being Navy pilots which yes, is a thing that reportedly happened. Either way, it should be interesting. Gears Of War Movie Set in Alternate Reality

As reported by Gamesradar it turns out the Gears of War movie will be be set in an alternate reality. According to Rod Fergusson while writing the movie they new the movie would have to be a good movie first, and a Gears movie second. During the interview he did say the movie will be on Sera and certain characters would be present, so I don’t think we will be missing some of the fan favorites. I also don’t doubt we will get to see tons of Locust get mowed down. The movie might be pretty far off tho, best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

New Hunger Games Book Due Out in 2020

Back in 2008 the first hunger games book released, and the movie wasn’t far behind in 2012. It seemed like the world loved it, tho I did notice the later movies kind of fell off in my area. Now in 2020 there will be a new book, a prequel. Lionsgate is also eyeing a movie adaptation according to Joe Drake, chairman of Lionsgate. The book is as of yet untitled but it is set to release in May of 2020. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Shazam 2,Zachary Levi Expects to Film in 2020

During an interview with AP News he talked about how Shazam made his career bigger and this was a bigger platform. He also said that he expects there to be a quick turnaround for the next movie and it to start filming around mid 2020.

This honestly would not surprise me as despite only bringing in 363 million worldwide it only had a production cost of 100 million making it pretty profitable all things considered. This all but guarantees a second one and they would want it pretty quick. Either way, it will be interesting to see. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Murder Mystery (2019)

Murder Mystery is the new Adam Sandler movie from Happy Madison Productions starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. They play a married couple, her a hair dresser, him a cop trying to become a detective, tho she has been lied to and thinks he already is one.

After 15 years, they are finally going on their European honeymoon. On the plane they meet Charles Cavendish (Luke Evans) the nephew of a billionare going through a rough break up that invites them on the family yacht, just to piss off his uncle that married his fiancee.

The movie is getting mixed reviews, critics don’t seem to enjoy it but viewers seem to be enjoying it. I fall into the I enjoyed it category. Ms. Aniston and Mr. Sandler have great chemistry and perform well together and the story is well put together and easy to understand but has just enough twist and turns to be fun.

My only real issue with the story is there is nothing new here either, Murder Mystery is very cliche and by the book, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing I just would have liked a bit more to it. Jason Momoa Wants to Play Wolverine

With the departure of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, the man nobody would argue is the ultimate Wolverine at the very least in the live action area. Who could possibly replace him? Well Aquaman has an interesting idea, and that idea is himself, Jason Momoa. As interesting of an idea as this is, i’m not exactly convinced. I do enjoy pretty much everything Momoa has been in that I have seen, this would be a very tall order for him to fill. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Then Came You (2019)

Starring Maisie Williams and Asa Butterfield Then Came You tells the story of a boy, Calvin, who is afraid to die and Skye who is actually dying. Calvin lost a twin sister when he was about eight years old and has pretty much been a hypochondriac ever since. He has an entire journal of symptoms.

Skye actually has terminal cancer, and before you watch this movie expecting a happy ending, there isn’t one for our young friend Skye. This is exactly as advertised advertised and there are no miracles.

The movie will cover their friendship from how and when they meet, to their love lives and quest to do everything they want before they die. Some of them are simply mundane like get a job, followed by get fired. Others are a bit more deep or in depth.

The movie however, and I don’t say this lightly, is one of the most heart wrenching movies I have ever seen. The ending alone while amazing and worth watching the movie for is also one of the saddest things I have ever seen. I won’t get into to many details, but the movie is great, and one of the best I have seen in 2019. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

The Oath (2018)

The Oath is a pretty simple of a movie concept. The United States government has decided to ask every citizen to sign a loyalty oath. This of course isn’t mandatory, tho there are benefits to it. There is also time to decide, the day after Thanksgiving to be exact, Black Friday.

This movie does a good job showing how easy it is to divide people, there are even a couple scenes of violence in the streets, fighting among  family members. Every so often there will be news playing in the background that does an admirable job showing how many Republicans and Democrats will simply argue or make stuff up to defend a position they themselves don’t even understand to begin with or to feel superior.

Throughout the movie there are also rumors of government officials intimidates and kidnapping people that don’t sign the oath or protest its very existence. The whole thing is very well done honestly and you can actually feel the apprehension it causes and see where the real world influences how they made the movie. You know people just like this, maybe they are friends of yours that you hang out with but avoid political talk or have talked to people like this online.

Here is the issue, the movie is a comedy. The comedy aspect is where it falls a bit flat. They took what could have been an amazing thriller or even horror movie an failed to make it all that funny but also ruined the more tense moments of the movie. Worse, what should have been a spectacular ending to really accentuate the seriousness of the situation was then met with what felt like a total cop out to simply end the movie without ever solving anything. I won’t say the movie was bad as I did enjoy it, but what should have been an amazing movie with great social commentary basically ended up simply as an okay movie not worth watching twice. Spider-Man Far From Home Trailers

I saw this morning what is supposedly a new trailer, tho it honestly just seems like a bunch of trailers rolled into one.
