Unfortunately for many the joke that Jordan is better than Lebron because Lebron never helped the Looney Tunes save the world is about to end. The long since rumored Space James 2 is no longer a rumor, but is a fact. Every so often I like to check out a documentary and see how it goes. Alien Contact, while the info may or may not be various levels of accurate is very poorly made. Not from a CGI or voice acting point of view, those are perfectly fine. The problem for me really is about the first half of this hour-long documentary is talking about Nazi Germany.
After much talk of the occult in Germany and the false assumption that no UFO had been sighted or reported prior to that. We then movie on to what happened to the Nazi scientist after Hitler shot himself.
It isn’t until the last 15 minutes or so we even get to talking about NASA and it mostly focuses on the moon landing and Apollo missions. This is where it truly breaks down with mostly conspiracy theories and voice overs done by the same people who represent radio calls from numerous historic figures that really just destroy any possible credibility. I normally enjoy stuff like this but honestly I couldn’t enjoy this one. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
As we all know there is a new stand alone Joker movie starring Joaquin Phoenix. His name will be Arthur Fleck in the origin story and recently we got our first view of him as you can see here in Rolling Stone.
Honestly I am not crazy about it, nor am I all that much of a fan of Phoenix as an actor but that being said my biggest issue is I am mostly just burn out on the Joker character as it is. I understand that from a business point he sells and in the end it will always be Batman vs Joker but I would love to a different villain get some love. That is honestly just my opinion on the matter, but for me I just can’t care about this movie or the character anymore. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Anguish is a horror movie that I admittedly thought would be good. The idea was good. A girl named Tess is diagnosed with a personality disorder but things aren’t what they seem. The acting is good and the story honestly is pretty easy to follow, but that is basically where I stopped enjoying the movie. It is just not good. The first hour or so is a whole lot of talking and is mostly meaningless. The last 25 minutes or so is where we finally get into the actual events of what is going on and why but by that time I was so bored I no longer cared.
This review is short admittedly and I won’t spoil the ending for you, but I also don’t suggest seeing it for yourself. I wouldn’t watch this movie again, there are far better movies out there, go watch any of them before you watch this one. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
The conjuring 3, another movie in The Conjuring Universe is expected to start filming net year according to Screen Rant. With The Nun having just released and Annabelle 3 expected out next summer it seems like we are in for at least a couple more years even tho the movies seem to be less and less about telling the story of Ed and Lorraine Warren and more about simply creating a horror series. Hunting Grounds is the story of a father, Roger Crew (Jason Vail) and his son Michael Crew (Miles Joris-Peyrafitte) that have come down on their luck after a personal tragedy, which not such a big spoiler, mom died. They do have a place to stay thankfully, Will Marx (D’Angelo Midili) has a cabin way up in the woods for them to crash in.
When Will comes to check up on his friends and brings king douche canoe Sergio (David Saucedo) the weekend should be simple. Some drinking, some hunting and things will be on their way. The problem is Sergio is a complete jackass, tho David plays this role amazingly well. Mike is a complete sissy and Sergio is happy to point this out, and that basically never changes. Roger is, well Roger may be the worst dad ever. Will is a nice guy tho.
The story is pretty standard tho, family outing goes wrong, monster starts terrorizing them. The monster itself, which i won’t ruin, also isn’t even all that original but it is rarely done which I liked. The problem is just about everything about the movie is pretty bad. The characters range from extremely whiny and annoying (the father and son) to just over the top nice. (Will) The movie just isn’t good. I’m not sure if it’s the actors or the script or the horrible looking monsters, but the movie is not something I can suggest watching. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Staring Christopher Reeve this movie actually holds a special place for me, not because its one of my favorite super hero movies, because it’s not or even because it’s the first I remember seeing because it isn’t. The first was actually Batman (1989). No this was just my first ever really experiencing Superman. Either way having been born after this left theaters, I would like to see this. It is with great sorrow and sadness I report that the legendary Burt Reynolds Star of Boogie Nights and Smokey and the Bandit has died on September 6th 2018 at the age of 82. One shot is a short film by Mike Clattenberg which most of you know from Trailer Park boys. It featured the characters Rickey, Julian and Mr. Lahey and told the story of Rickey and Julians last day together before Rickey moved to Vancouver.
At first I thought the movie wasn’t very good but I realized it wasn’t really fair to judge a 20-year-old short film shot by friends and 3 guys to harshly. Sure Clerks is basically a cult classic but that is equal parts genius and fluke to be honest.
One last shot was actually fairly well put together, the scenes make sense and for a black and white film the lighting is actually well done. At no point did I feel like the dark parts were overly dark or the light taking away from anything and the acting while a bit bland at times didn’t exactly feel stiff. It just felt like what it was, people who loved movies that wanted to make one and get some experience and honestly that showed. I have seen much higher production value movies feel less heartfelt and honest than this did. Its only 30 minutes and it very much worth checking out if you are a fan of his or the Trailer Park Boys (which I am not) best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
