And Overcooked.

Now I have heard good things about both, and I will try to play them both, but honestly, I probably won’t. Before than tho don’t forget to download the games for April while you still can, best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Pixel Starships (Mobile)

Pixel Starships is a mobile game from Savy Soda. The concept is pretty simple, you command a ship that you slowly build up over time to beat bigger and bigger ships. The graphics are pretty nice pixel graphics as the name implies and the sound is pretty nice.

My only real issue is that its a bit hard to control. You have to slide power bars to weapons or shields depending on what you want to do and it just doesn’t always want to go and it can be a bit frustrating and once or twice it did get me killed. If you enjoy this type of game tho it isn’t a deal breaker. There is also a story but honestly, it is pretty forgettable, I stopped caring like 20 minutes in. All in all, it isn’t a nad mobile game to kill some time with, just don’t go in expecting a ton. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Overpass Announcement Trailer

So I am sitting at home the other day, wondering what to do with my day while baby savior rips my house apart like 2-year olds do, and my phone goes off. Hey, its an e-mail from Maximum Games. They always send me cool stuff to see. It’s about a game called Overpass. So I checked out the e-mail and watched the trailer and I have to say, seeing Bigben (V Rally 4 Review PS4) attached to it and Zordix racing had me interested.

This time around you will be driving Quads and buggies and driving across extreme tracks up logs and rocky slopes with real vehicles from Yamaha, Suzuki and Arctic Cat. As of now all I can say is there will definitely be a career mode and multiplayer and it will be released in October 2019 for PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC. Enjoy the trailer which has some pretty good music, and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Vin Diesel Reveals John Cena for Fast & Furious 9

For fans of the Fast & Furious serious that are upset that The Rock won’t be in the ninth movie in the franchise, Vin Diesel took to Instagram to reveal a new wrestler, John Cena. Screenrant has the actual video for those that want to see it, but for me this really comes off as a way to try to grab the fan base they lose by losing The Rock from the movie, tho that is just my opinion. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Planet Zoo Announcement Trailer (PC)

Frontier Developments the makers of Elite Dangerous and Jurassic Park Evolution, two games we all know I am a fan of is releasing a new tycoon game in 2019. This one is called Planet Zoo where you will be building, you guessed it, a zoo. According to Frontier, each animal will explore the zoo you build and you can eventually even release animals to help rebuild their population and of course there will be research to do. So enjoy the trailer and wait for the PC release, and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Endgame Beats Force Awakens’ Opening night Record

Force Awakens opened with a huge night back in 2015, $57 million to be exact. Now in 2019 that record has been beaten by another Disney movie in Endgame which opened at a monstrous $60 million.  If there was ever any doubt about people being excited about it, it is probably safe to put that one to rest. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

New Rules In China Gaming May Cause Problems

China has started approving games again, this is about the end of the good news. Some of the most popular games, mainly based on their imperial passed are banned. Mahjong and poker are outright banned. They also now have a ban on blood and corpses as they are worried about violence in video games.

They actually have a new authority on that sort of thing called the State Administration of Press and Publication and they seem to be heavily concerned about violence and addiction in young gamers. It seems like devs and publishers got around this by simply changing the color of blood t other colors and a sort of loophole, which they have now closed and banned in all colors and have even gone so far to ban certain political metaphors. If you want more details engadget.com has an excellent article. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Easter weekend At the Box Office Worst in Over 10 Years

As reported by Screenrant this was the worst box office easter weekend in a long time, almost 15 years to be exact. The Curse of LA Llorona which reportedly cost just over $9 million to make and had $26.5 million in ticket sales opening weekend. Breakthrough and Penguins did quite a bit less, however, with those being the only notable releases I would not take this as a sign of things to come. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Castlevania Collection Lineup Confirmed by Konami

Konami took their time, but we finally have a full list confirming all 8 games coming with the Castlevania Anniversary Collection. It will include the first 3 released on the NES as well as Super Castlevania from the Super NES (making 4 games) Castlevania The Adventure (Gameboy) Belmonts revenge (also Gameboy) Bloodlines from the Sega Genisis and to finish  the 8 games Kid Dracula which received a remake sequel of sorts on the Gameboy but was this version was a Japan-only release.

Honestly, for any fan of the series or anyone wanting to try it out, eight games for $20 is a steal and you should give it a shot. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
