According to screen rant the DC Flashpoint movie will be moving its filming it Vancouver. The film so far has had numerous director changes but thankfully has locked up the people needed to do its thing and get started. My personal opinion tho, hopefully this turns out better than most of the other DC movies. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
This is one of those movies i am not 100% sure how to score. The movie from a critical stand point is not good. The story is all over the place, much if it making no real sense and doesn’t actually line up with the actual Brothers Grimm Stories themselves. The special effects even for the time were quite corny tho much of that was intentional admittedly for a story purpose.
Here is why I am torn, with Matt Damon and Heath Ledger the acting was great and the movie was simply a fun and entertaining experience and really that is the point of a movie in the first place. The plot holes aren’t distracting, tho they are clearly present. The characters never go thru any real building, they simply are what they are, which for the most part is fine since they are solid characters anyway. The best way of putting it is if you are looking for a deep, meaningful and insightful experience this is not the movie for you. However, if you want something fun and entertaining, this movie is an excellent choice. Best wishes and ma the gaming gods bring you glory.
A pretty long time ago @torstenvblog covered Dark souls 2…oh my Tho I myself never really got to play it. That changed recently when I got a pretty sweet deal on it for Xbox. And I have to say having played it on PS4 a little and my Xbox One X visually there is a substantial difference. That being said the game looks pretty damn good either way. But it is a bit dated seeing as how since than we have has Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3.
@torstenvblog hit the nail pretty much right on the head when he said some of the bosses were amazing and some were pretty much the same as bosses from the previous game. Some are even just boring as hell mob bosses that serve no real purpose other than to be annoying. The difficulty bounces between why did I bother and who the hell beats this without getting hit? All things considered the game is fun, but it is far from being the best in the series. In fact I would go so far as to say it is probably the worst in the Soulsborne series, tho that still makes it the worst in one of the best series ever created. This week Black Panther became The 33rd film and 16th Disney to join an elite club of movies to make a billion dollars in world wide sales (not adjusted for inflation) according to Hollywoodreporter.com.
It also did this on only its 26th day in release and is on track to pass even the Avengers movie in money made. Not bad for a movie many people thought wouldn’t be able to keep its staying power. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
According to comicbook.com there was a recent Q&A with Netflix executive Scott Mirer and he had nothing but great things to say about their relationship with Nintendo. As we all know the Nintendo Switch is doing amazing, but at launch they were focused on games and it appears for now they still are. It also took quite a bit of time for Netflix to show up on other Nintendo devices, and for now the Switch will be no different. Scott Mirer seemed optimistic its just a matter of when it comes to the Switch, not if, but the time doesn’t seem to be now. Hopefully for Nintendo owners tho that time is soon. So this weekend I played the open beta for Sea of Thieves on the Xbox one. I played for a bit with random people while drinking whiskey and discovered that the random British people I was teamed up with did not find it funny when we were being shot with cannons and I yelled “I thought you Brits knew how to use a navy.”..So yea, sorry about that my randomly assigned crew mates.
My first ship sank when the guy parked it next to the shore and a storm moved in. I don’t think it is fair to blame me. My second ship sank when the before mentioned British fellows didn’t know you needed cannon balls in your inventory to reload the cannons and we got sank to the bottom of the sea, that one was partly my fault. My third ship was me sailing a galleon alone and I slammed it into an island. Completely my fault.
My longest play time however was with a real life friend and random guy, Charlie. We spent hours sailing the high seas, finding treasure and selling it at outpost. Finally we took to some real piracy, attacked a few ships, most of which escaped. One we boarded and sank when he was alone and had no treasure, in a move of total pettiness. Then it happened. Out in the clouds we saw a skull with glowing eyes and we felt the need to investigate. We arrived at an island with a small fort crawling with skeletons. We fought them valiantly for 20 minutes or so when a 2nd ship arrived. We died a lot but you always respawn on your ship. Unless someone shows up and sinks it. Then you go back to a neutral port and start all over again.
The game is fun, and looks beautiful. The ship combat is amazing tho the person to person combat is a bit stiff and had a tendency to glitch at times with people suddenly appearing behind you. This was a minor issue tho and one that you can easily live with. The beta itself had no real story to speak of, but the fun was in creating your own. Was that ship chasing you? Should you swing around and fire? The choice is yours, and when the game launches there is sure to be a lot of fun to be had. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
For those that enjoyed Bowser’s inside story you will be happy to know that in 2019 a remake will be coming to the 3Ds. If it follows the same pattern as other remakes such as Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions this will involve updated graphics and a bunch of new story content. Yes, you read that correctly. That picture is 100% accurate. On April 24th South Park: The Fractured But Whole is coming to the Nintendo Switch, and you will be able to buy the DLC as an individual download or individually. Now if you are one of the rare people that own a Switch and nothing else or simply want to know if its worth buying. In simple terms, yes it is. Its not often I play a racing game, not that I have anything against them, they just aren’t my deal. This one tho caught my eye since admittedly the the trailer had good music and dirt racing is more fun than NASCAR to me. That actually sums the game up pretty nicely tho. The game has numerous race styles, tho I liked spinning out in the snow. Yea I sucked and spent most of my time drifting into walls. The graphics looked great and the music was fun. The car had plenty of car options with different paint jobs. There are certainly racing games with more customization out there make no mistake there, but this one has enough to get the job done and there are enough races to make the price tag worth it.
