Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly (Steam)

Today from my good friends over at Intragames are releasing this mouthful of a game to say. The game does look quite beautiful.

There is also, of course, a deluxe edition that comes with a digital art book that comes in English, Chinese, and Korean, a PC wallpaper and of course an original soundtrack. Admittedly this isn’t my type of game, but it could be interesting none the less.

Stellaris Console Comes in February.

For fans of grand strategy games that happen to be console only players, we seem to finally have a release date for Stellaris on the PS4 and Xbox consoles. February 26th to be exact. For more of the details check out Polygon. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Meeple Station (PC)

Meeple Station developed by Vox games and punished by Modularity can be purchased on Steam. The premise is quite simple, build a space station, mine resources, trade with other ships, increase the size of your station and crew, repeat. It sounds easy, but it does take quite a bit of effort and time to learn. You will also be fending off space pirates and, well squids. They will both honestly screw your day up. Honestly, there isn’t much to the game, yet.

Some of the future promised content however is quite impressive if true. They are talking about a co-op mode that would be amazing for this type of game as its rarely done and even rarer is that it is done well. There is also talk that they will be implementing a way to build your own trade ships. The game is in early access and they claim it is only about 20% done which if true means there is a ton more stuff coming in. definitely, do not count this as a complete review but as more of a preview combined with a review as I will be revisiting this time in the future. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Mk11 gameplay reveal

You know what goes good with a snow storm? A warm drink, a toasty fire, and obscene amounts of gore. Above we got our first look at the latest Mortal Kombat and damn it’s impressive. I love that it brings back weapons and every character seems to have a nice blend of traditional moves as well as whole new ones. Skarlett particularly seems awesome as hell. I can’t wait to see the new Big Bad Guy in action. So far so gory ( yes, I went and made the pun.) and may the gaming gods help you kick ass.

Breach (Pc)

After playing a bit of the Alpha over the weekend that @Playbreach told me about over on Twitter I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. To be up front, we all know I am not big on these types of games. You can find out all sorts of things on their website here. The game starts out with a pretty simple tutorial and character creator. The controls are the standard, mouse to look around and WSAD to move. It functions like you would expect, tho admittedly there was some lag which I believe was caused by my laptop not quite being up to snuff.

The video shows pretty well what it is. Honestly, after playing it, I enjoy it pretty well. Admittedly the character choices and their abilities aren’t anything you haven’t seen before. Breach in no way reinvents the wheel, but it doesn’t need to. It is fun, and each level gives you something to do and new enjoyment to find, and that is all you need. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Alien: Blackout trailer

Shit. Just Shit… It’s a rare feat to have my hopes crash and burn in less than a minute than the unfortunate news Alien: Blackout is going to be a mobile game. Supposedly there is a main PC/ console game in the works but Blackout is going to pretty much be FNAF with the Xenomorph. With 2019 being the 40 year anniversary of the original Alien, we are getting a new graphic novel, this game, and something else to be determined so needless to say, along with most of the Alien fan base, I’m pretty pissed. There’s going to be Amanda Ripley but it isn’t going to supposedly be a Alien: Isolation sequel which blows and after the disappointment of Alien: Covenant , the anniversary of a sci-fi horror legend seems to be going as a whimper sadly. May the gaming gods bring you glory.

Rain World v1.7 Arriving For Nintendo Switch — STUBBORN| FUTURE OF MOBILE GAMING

The game is finally releasing for Nintendo Switch. Rain World is a survival platformer video game initially launched in 2017 in which the player has to control a part-slug, part-cat creature searching for a hostile, derelict world for its family. The slugcat ebris as the weapons to escape the area of randomized enemies, forage for […]

A pretty great article from a friend. Good to see the Switch getting some love with Rainworld.

Left Alive: Gameplay Trailer

After what feels like months of waiting, we finally have a gameplay trailer for left alive, and honestly it kind of looks like The Division.

I don’t mean that as an insult by any means. Graphically it looks beautiful and I love any game that allows me to make choices that matter tho admittedly it makes me realize why I shouldn’t be allowed to make choices in the real world. I am a bit worried the game will primarily be escort missions involving getting people to shelters but I suppose in a few months we will find out. Until then enjoy the trailer, and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

The 7th Guest: The Board Game

The 7th Guest was a PC game originally released back in 1993, which you can still purchase over on Steam believe it or not. It has some mixed reviews but overall it seems solid enough and tells the story of, quite simply a mansion full of puzzles and toys. You will attempt to spend one full night there and the winner gets their hearts most secret desire. Their Kickstarter page has a ton more info.

This is where the board game comes in. It is for 2-6 players (ages 12 and up) and can take one to 5 hours depending on the rules you play with. This seems pretty cool because sometimes honestly I am playing with my friends while having a few drinks and we just want something to do while having fun. We want something to do for 4 or 5 hours. Other times I am playing with my kids and they do not always have a huge attention span so 1 or 2 hours is great.

The game itself is largely puzzles and logic test for you to solve to advance which the other players can steal ( and you can steal theirs) This all sounds pretty simple but of course, nothing in life is. There seems to be some twist and turns such as spaces that will toss you someplace else or force you to unlock extra rooms on your way to the exit.

A good sign in all this is the game is actually being created by people like Rob Landeros and Charlie McHenry, the people that founded Trilobyte games and created the original game, so if you happen to be a fan of the game and are worried this will deviate too far from your beloved 90’s memory I don’t see that being an issue. They even started to design the game from the ground up around the original map of the PC title. I have spoken to them and it looks like the game will be shipping in January so as you can see I am finding out about this a bit late. Savior Gaming doesn’t even normally cover board games, but this one just seemed pretty cool and I decided to share it with you guys. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Monster Hunter Iceborne

Well here we are, Capcom delivered the news they promised at the Gaming Awards to Monster Hunter fans and it was HUGE. People thought everything from new monsters, to new hunter gear levels, to new areas a few speculated it was simply a new crossover event. They were all right, and there was so much more. First, the newest crossover event coming early 2019 is Geralt of Rivia. Yes, Witcher 3 is coming Monster Hunter world, fully voiced and with full cooperation from CD Projekt Red. Some of you simply wanted a new event monster? Well soon, (December 19th until January 3rd) you can tackle arch tempered Kulva Torath. Not good enough? Come spring arch tempered Nergigante.

Now I know I know, what else? Come Autumn, a full-fledged expansion. It will have a new story that takes place after the MHW base game, will over a new rank (on past games known as G Rank) Now if all that isn’t enough, nothing will be. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
