The Next Purge Could be the Last

The-Purge-Election-Year

According to a recent Screenrant article the oddly successful The Purge franchise could be coming to an end. It has reported that the creator thinks the next could be the last. They have quite steadily been releasing since 2013 so really it may be about time. Not to say they don’t have their place but at some point its best to let even a good thing go while people still enjoy it. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Charlie’s Angel Reboot Delayed

If  you were looking forward to it or not, or even if you don’t care, Screenrant is reporting the Charlie’s Angel reboot has been delayed until November 2019. There are numerous reasons for this, but mainly it is so it seems to be so it doesn’t have to compete with more high-profile movies. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Spoilers are Sadly Happening, but not here.

First I feel obligated to say this, this is my opinion on the fact that spoilers are being out there, this is not a place where you will find those spoilers. So if you want those spoilers, keep looking. If you are worried about them, you are safe.

As with all big releases, leaks and spoilers happen. Now to an extent what people count as spoilers is a bit weird and vague, like a map really isn’t a spoiler. It tells you nothing of the story or what happens when you get there, it is just a map. Some generic game play also isn’t a spoiler. Sadly like all other stuff if you know where to look other stuff is being leaked, some of it clearly a joke like ” Arthur kills john” which we know isn’t true. However this trend of ruining big triple A titles really needs to stop, especially considering chances are the ending will most likely be everywhere by the time the game launches, much like the ending to GTAV was. So as always everyone, be kind, don’t ruin the damn game, best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Friday the 13th, Produced by LeBron James?

Yea you read that headline right, ScreenRant is reporting that none other than LeBron James is in talks to reboot Friday the 13th as producer. This may seem odd but with him being heavily involved with Space Jam,  his career most likely winding down and the new era of horror in full swing this is quite a smart move on his part if its true. It will be interesting to see where if anywhere this leads. Best interest and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

G-Star 2018

Coming up in November is G-Star 2018 in Korea. For those of you like myself that are not familiar with it, here is a link with some info. G-Star. G-star seems to be similar to American E3 with events set up for the press and companies to show off upcoming products as well as having an E-Sports event.

I actually heard about the event when i was asked by a representative of Intragames if i would be attending and if i would be interested in visiting their booth, which sadly for me being in America that really is not a realistic trip for me to be making as much as me and @torstenvblog would have loved to have gone. Mostly I am sharing this so that hopefully others can keep an eye out and learn about another even that features all kinds of games. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Netflix Cancels Luke Cage and Iron Fist

Recently it was announced that Netflix canceled both Luke Cage and Iron Fist, and many are worried that Jessica Jones may be next. (who knows by the time you read this it may already have happened) There are plenty of ideas as to why this may have happened, lack of interest maybe. I however feel it’s a different reason. See in late 2019 Disney will launch its own streaming service and in a world that already has two major services in Netflix and Hulu and many other smaller ones Disney will need a way to draw in customers.

There are a number of ways to this, for example they will obviously have plenty of their own Disney movies but they also own Star Wars and the Marvel. What better way to bring in customers to a fledgling streaming service than with the already established Marvel shows being revived or the entire MCU being available at launch?

I also would not be surprised to see them open the Disney vault and put their classic cartoon movies on there like Bambi and Aladdin. Disney is a power house and has a huge amount of resources to draw from and they will likely abuse that fact. For the time being losing your favorite show sucks, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they come back. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Some News For The Blog

I always strive to be 100% honest with you guys, whether it be saying hey I wouldn’t buy this game or watch this movie or even hey the company gave me this gave to review. Its not that I think you guys believe me or trust my opinion more because of it it is simply because its how I think stuff should run. I have been wrong before and you guys have called me out on it which is great.

In the spirit of that, I had an idea the other night that I thought could help me and @torstenvblog keep the lights on here at Savior Gaming ( metaphorically, honestly we will probably buy movies, games, booze and pizza) I also wanted to do this with someone that @torstenvblog and myself have used and trusted which lead me to the Amazon affiliate program. From now on you may notice after some of our reviews you will see links to certain products on Amazon. These will simply be things we have reviewed that we feel are worth buying. These links are known as affiliate links and if you decide to buy the product through that link we will get a small commission. These links won’t be everywhere and we aren’t going to post a ton of them , honestly we simply want to make it easier for you to buy the things we review if you are interested and to help us out a bit at the same time. As always thanks for reading, and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Nic Cage says he would be a great Lex Luthor

Most people don’t know that, or maybe they do, that at one point Nicolas Cage was supposed to play Superman. If you want the fully story on all this check out Screen rant.  What is also interesting is when asked about playing Superman Cage openly admits that those days are gone, but he believes he would make a great Lux Luthor. Honestly as much as I enjoy his work I don’t think it would go so well. But hey what do I know, I still think the best Lex was Michael Rosenbaum. Best wishes, and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Zombieland 2

After many years of rumors and such Comicbook.com and many others have been reporting that zombieland 2 is set to release a year from now in October of 2019, 10 years after the original. The stars had to align to make this happen with. Getting the original cast together was hard, and they pretty much demanded a high quality script.  Wegotthiscovered.com also reports that we have been promised a cameo that will rival that of the Bill Fucking Murray came from the first, but we will have to wait to see. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Venom Gets 40 Minutes Cut

According to movieweb.com there is a ton of Venom that you won’t be seeing in theaters. About 40 minutes to be exact. Tom Hardy also said some of his favorite scenes also did not make it into the movie which really makes me wonder what did make it into the movie. A lot of people are bit nervous about this one with it being a Spider Man spin-off with no spidey and being separate from the MCU. Tho this does make a potential directors cut or deleted scenes extra on the Blu-ray pretty interesting. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
