With achievements, controversary, microtransactions and toxic player bases, sometimes it’s easy to forget that video games are supposed to be fun. The classic Tony Hawk Pro Skater was one of the greatest chill games of all time. Picking from a list of legendary, classic skaters you can either free skate a series of classic parks, tour each park while trying to complete a series of tasks, or beat your friends high score, all while listening to some awesome old school tunes.
In terms of what came before, this joins Crash Bandicoot remastered in the host of amazing remasters. The game runs silky smooth and looks fantastic, complete with a great playlist of 90’s and early 2000’s music you can control without pausing the game. New additions including being able to share XP amongst skaters between games and creating your own crazy ass parks are fun additions that add hours to the game. I found myself having hours and hours of fun without frustration, reliving my youth. The only real complainant I have is that it’s a game I have to be I the mood for. In the end, this is a damn good remaster that’s a blast for the fans, well worth checking out. May the gaming gods bring you glory.
While Andromeda was a huge letdown, I’ll never deny my love of the Mass Effect trilogy. The feelings I have are mixed at best. The possibility of another great Mass Effect warms my heart but will it be a continuation of the trilogy? A Andromeda sequel? Something new? Time will tell but it’s coming. May the gaming gods bring you glory.
ININ Games is excited to announce news of BEEP’s side-scrolling shoot-em-up Cotton Reboot! to be released both digitally and physically on Sony PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch with a projected release date of Q1/2021 in Europe and North America.
Shoot-em-up with an adorable main character
A young witch called Nata de Cotton is hot headed, immature, overreacts and rides on a broomstick, accompanied by a fairy named Silk. Cotton is crazy about candies called “Willows”. Those candies are so good that she won’t let anything get in her way to get them. Talk about sugar cravings!
Armed with explosive fire power, a cast of cunning enemies to confront and some enchanting and beautiful graphics sees this endearing title as one that enlightens the imagination. Cotton will embark on her journey through the game’s seven amazing colourful stages with the hope that she will be rewarded at the end. As you move through a graveyard with wormed eyeballs or through a forest with trees that are part human form, eyes and mouth, hails of bullets and triple lazer fire from Cotton’s latest weapon resource that can be swapped and changed throughout as an endless onslaught of enemies fill the screen with their own arsenal of power. Avoid and maneuvering becomes as important as straight shooting.

Limited Edition with Special Offerings In addition to the standard edition, along with its digital online store release, ININ Games will also publish Limited Editions of Cotton Reboot! Undead Darlings in an interesting looking game from Sekai Games, with developer Mr.Tired Media that you can buy now on PlayStation 4 or Nintendo Switch. It is a combination dungeon crawler RPG and visual novel that plays out with you making decisions in between killing monsters as you search for monsters and has multiple endings based on the decisions you make. As a human assisting 6 half zombie women you will act as a sort of pack animal for them as they attempt to deliver the cure, but don’t worry the ladies won’t let you get sick.
Thankfully they have been kind enough to hook me up with a review copy of this one, so stay tuned for a more in depth review where I will happily explain more about the turn based battle system and the interesting Exponential Exploitation mechanics, definitely check this one out though, and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Strictly Limited Games and ININ Games are very excited to present the logo and key visual for Clockwork Aquario. After being lost for almost 27 years, the colorful Clockwork Aquario will be released in the beginning of 2021.
The game will be published for Nintendo Switch and Playstation 4 as limited physical editions. Clockwork Aquario will also be available digitally in the Nintendo eShop and the PlayStation Store. Other platforms to be announced at a later date.
The development of Clockwork Aquario started in 1992 and is the last arcade game ever developed by the legendary company Westone. Originally designed by the chief publisher, and co-founder of Westone, Ryuichi Nishizawa, Clockwork Aquario can be described as the swan song of a company that was part of an era with historic milestones such as the Wonder Boy / Monster World series.
Large character sprites, beautiful animations, vibrant colors – the game had everything an arcade game fan could dream of. But in the early 1990s 3D games and fighting games were booming in the arcades, so 2D games like Aquario, that relied on beautifully drawn pixel art, were no longer regarded as commercially feasible for the arcade centers. So the game never got released. Something that Strictly Limited Games and ININ Games needed to change.
The side-scrolling action game can either be played alone or with a friend in co-op.
Players can choose from three different characters, each of them with her/his individual moveset: Huck Londo, the daring ghost hunter, Elle Moon, the brave adventuress and Gush, the warmhearted giant robot.
This is probably the freshest 27 year old game that gamers ever enjoyed – and as this treasure stems from the arcades, it won’t go easy on the player!
“In the 90s, when game centers were dominated by fighting games, there was one title which had never been released, even though it was completed after more than two years of development and repeated changes. This title is Clockwork Aquario. Who would have thought that it would be restored and playable again? I would like to express my heartfelt respect and gratitude to those who have worked so hard to restore it. I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that this work is a great piece of 2D art, where the pixel artists of that time put their hearts and souls into. I’d be happy if people would appreciate and enjoy it.” – Ryuichi Nishizawa

So I’m a huge fan of Suicide Squad comics and when it was revealed the next Rocksteady DC game was going to be a Suicide Squad game, I was pumped…until I saw the trailer. While I like the character cast, something bothers me about the art style, though I admittedly love King Shark’s design. I think the idea of hitting the JLA during there first go is biting off way more than they could chew, like Enchantress from the movie. While we have plenty of time, since it ain’t dropping until 2022, I hope the gameplay kicks ass. May the gaming gods bring you glory.

As a humongous Batman, DC, and just general fan of epic video games, I adore the Batman: Arkham trilogy ( we don’t really talk about Origins.) Batman: Arkham Knight wrapped the series up in a nice bow as far as I’m concerned, so why continue? Seriously, I can’t understand why this game really exists except a cash grab. A Red Hood game seems like it would’ve made more sense and could have brought a extra layer of conflict having Todd stay evade Nightwing while cleaning up Gotham. My favorite part was the reveal with the Owls at the end did me hope but not much. May the gaming gods bring you glory.
