Reign of the Supermen trailer

Almost 2 weeks ago we got the first trailer for Reign of the Supermen, the third story in the Death of Superman story. After Superman dies, 4 new figures emerge attempting to fill his mantle but not all of them maybe a force for good. I always wanted to read it because it was the debut of Steel. The trailer looks good and I’m curious how it’ll go. May the gaming gods bring you glory.

San Lee: 12/28/1922- 11/12/2018.

It is with great sorrow and sadness we at Savior Gaming report that great comic book writer, editor, and publisher, and hero to millions has passed away at the age of 95. I won’t spend long going over his many many creations, such as Black Panther, many of the X-Men and Avengers or our love of his cameo appearance in movies. These all speak for themselves. In honor of this legend of entertainment just remember, while with great power comes great responsibility, Stan Lee proved you don’t need to be superhuman to be a hero to someone. May the gaming gods bring his family peace, and Mr. Lee to his rightful place in glory.

Cranston Responds To Breaking Bad Movie

We have all heard the story of a new Breaking Bad Movie and entertainment has reported that Bryan Cranston has commented on it. Turns out He hasn’t seen or read the script and raised the question of is he even in the movie? I haven’t actually watched the show ( save your hatred for later) but it is a wild thought, I can’t imagine him not being in it. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Why Clark Kent Should Have Told More People He Was Super Man.

The main issue I have always had with Super Man is quite simple, he was essentially invincible. There was never any sort of real threat to him except that he allowed it. His powers are well documented to the point we don’t need to go over them, and even if we did I would miss a few and someone would show up and mention how in issue #xxx he did some random thing or how before issue #xxx he couldn’t do this or that something was in the multiverse and doesn’t count.

Here is why I say he allowed the dangers to him. Any threat that could possibly come his way he could stop before it gets as far as it does. He could easily use his heat vision to destroy or kill well before anyone with kryptonite gets close enough for it to matter. His speed allows him to escape just about any situation before it matters. So why does this translate to he should have told more people?

Well for starters to care about Super Man, you need to care about Clark. This makes his friends more important than most characters. Take Smallville for example, possibly the most successful origin story for a comic hero to ever exist. Why was it so successful? Because before he was a hero in metropolis he was just Clark Kent, the farm boy in Smallville. You got to see him as a person with friends and fears as he developed his powers. He was a real person, and you cared about him and his friends.

One of the more interesting story paths of Smallville was his friend Pete discovering his secret and watching the occasional fun use of his powers, but more than that Pete also acted as the occasional counterpoint. Clark was forced to explain why he was using his powers or Pete would tell him not to be careful with their use. This brought an interesting twist to Clark and would have done the same for Superman, and no other heroes don’t count. There is a difference between other heroes and regular people, they all have a different perspective.

Seeing more into the daily life of Clark Kent with his friends convincing him to use or not use his powers or that he should or maybe even hey Clark can you come move this piano. Half the time I got bored with Superman was simply because I couldn’t care less about a hero that created his own problems but would never be in real danger if someone had simply said hey Clark, why don’t you just stop holding back a bit. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Disney Streaming Service Has a Name

As many people have been wondering, what would Disney call their streaming service? The answer according to ScreenRant is Disney Plus. There are still plenty of questions to be answered, but we also know that Polygon confirmed there will be a Loki spinoff limited series, and yes Tom H. Will be taking his role back for it. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Another Bloodborne 2 Rumor

If you want to read the full story, check out Express.co.uk. The short version is as copied from the article.

Deracine features an item referred to as the Fiona Doll, which contains an interesting nod to Bloodborne.

The item description reads: “A doll of the stone girl Fiona, who appears in the unfinished tale.

“When a person has a bad dream, Fiona appears and helps them flee.”

The doll is also performing the ‘Make Contact’ gesture, which suggests that the Bloodborne tale isn’t over.

Perhaps we’ll see a Bloodborne 2 reveal during The Game Awards on December 7.

Before anyone gets too excited it should be noted that these rumors come around much like New Years, E3 or @torstenvblog sex life. It comes around every year or so and there is nothing you can do about it but at the end of the day it is usually not that special. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

PlayStation Now Is The Biggest Gaming Subscription Service, But How?

Recently PushSquare released an article stating that the biggest market share in gaming subscription services ( not counting things such as Xbox Live and PlayStation Plus) inexplicably belonged to PlayStation Now. You can see even more on that from the people that did the research at SuperData. But how can this be accurate? I have used the service, and it isn’t great. Playstation Now is a solid but flawed and overpriced service against a reasonable and useful Gamepass from Microsoft, tho admittedly it PSnow has more games. So how did this happen? Well, let us try to figure this out.

First, there are a couple things we need to get out of the way. In pure sales alone, not accounting for anything else, there is no console war between Sony and Microsoft because Sony has won this generation. This report is a little dated but as you can see here. We can estimate that Xbox has sold around 30 million units while Sony has sold around 70 million. Obviously, both of those numbers have since gone up but seeing as how Sony has over 2-1 on consoles sales we can see that that gap hasn’t closed significantly.

What this means is Sony has a huge advantage in potential customer base for their subscription market. Now this has recently gone up with Microsoft launching Gamepass on PC so this gap will close as time goes on, but for now, the gap exists.(Sony also has theirs available on PC. The price point also matters as market share is determined as a percentage of total sales in an industry. For example, if you were selling candy bars and your class sold 100 bars for $1 and you sold 1 of those candy bars your market share would be  1%.

Gamepass is (rounding up) $10 and Psnow is (again rounding up) $20 you can see Sony only needs to sell 1 to get the same share as 2 of Microsoft. With what can only be described as a huge advantage in potential customers and twice the price point while it seems highly unlikely, this is how Sony has managed to have a higher market share in streaming service. They simply have a larger customer base and price point. This is also why Sony does very little to improve much of what they have, they are making money at an amazing rate and have no reason in their minds to change. Red Dead Redemption 2, Another Look.

I did an initial Red Dead Redemption 2 First Impressions and I have to admit, I still haven’t beat the story. Outside of games, I have reviewed and what my friends and daughter have asked me to play I haven’t played anything else, but I still haven’t managed to finish the story. That isn’t to say I haven’t done some great stuff. I have explored a beautiful world, tamed a rare horse, threw dynamite at the KKK, murdered and robbed my way across the entire map and spent hours upon hours hunting.

Quite honestly, the game is most likely game of the year. I can’t imagine a game-winning out over Red Dead Redemption 2. The story so far is amazingly done. The characters are deep, the world is rich and vibrant and each person seems to have their own personality and wants and needs. The game is truly a work of art.

That being said, I won’t pretend the game is perfect. The controls can be a bit weird at times, but mostly they are as I said in the past quite fluid and well done. The aiming while great with the aim assist can also be a bit janky when you attempt to not use the assist. I also still have no idea what happens when your horse dies because they don’t really explain what happens if your horse dies. There are actually a few things the game doesn’t explain very well tho admittedly this was half the fun, just discovering how to do these things.

No, the game isn’t perfect and the online portion isn’t released yet to even comment on. But game of the year? Almost guaranteed. Game of the decade? It’s definitely in the running. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Jeff Who Lives At Home

Jeff Who Lives At Home is the movie of a loser that lives in mom’s basement having a pretty crap day after watching the movie Signs (2002) A bit of weed, a strange phone call for a guy named Kevin and his mom demanding he fix the piece of a door.

The movie mostly follows Jeff through his day as he takes a bus to get some glue but is interrupted to play some basketball, smoke more weed, gets mugged. He also helps his brother when he suspects his wife may be cheating on him. Turns out finding your destiny isn’t easy.

The movie is slow and not very action oriented and quite honestly is not for most people. I thought it was fun and interesting and I enjoyed it, but I don’t think there is much here for your average movie fan looking for some action. It relies heavily on the person watching wanting to sit and think about the bigger things in life as well as which honestly isn’t what most people want to do. I do suggest you watch it regardless tho. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
