Sometimes you just need to rob a bank. Sometimes you don’t want to work, so you need to rob a bank. Other times you piss off the wrong people and owe a shit ton of money and they make you rob a bank. That is sort of what this movie is about.

The movie starts off with a job interview and an angry customer, and we quickly discover a few of the people in the bank happen to be robbers. What they weren’t counting on is back in the early 1980’s someone else robbed this same back, lost their mind and killed everyone in the back. Now this bank is haunted as hell, and these bank robbers are about to have a world of problems.

The idea sounds good, and it has its moments but honestly the movie is a lot of standing around and talking. The movie drags on quite a bit at times and admittedly I found myself wishing it would just end. Towards the end it does get better tho the ending is pretty predictable. I would’t recommend this one. Fable 4 Rumor, and what I would love to see

Recently a rumor has popped up that Fable 4 isn’t just a fantasy, but a game that is actually in development that we will likely see at this years E3 event, some info on that here from onmsft . This however is just what I would love to see.

I remember many years ago as a young savior waiting for the original Fable, excitedly. That day came and I took a bus to my local Gamestop which at the time was the next town over, also required me to cross the highway on foot buy my game, cross back hike it about quarter mile back to the mall then wait for the bus to go home. It took half the day. Half the day I could have played my damn game. A game I loved.

Eventually Fable 2 came out, this time it was a quick drive to that same Gamestop, quick trip home and began playing what is to this day one of my favorite games I have played. The sheer amount of stuff to do was great as was the combat.

Finally the day of Fable 3, and yes that same Gamestop. This time however, I was not as happy with the game. The game wasn’t as fun, the whole being a king thing never even felt special and while the game wasn’t bad that magic just felt lost.

Fable 4 however, I am hoping for a darker gritter experience. When we last left Albion the world wasn’t what it once was, but I really want to see that in between time of Fable when the world changed so drastically. The idea of playing a hero in the world as it goes to hell struggling to keep it together just appeals to me. The combat system is good and changing that to much would probably be a catastrophe but being able to change magic on the fly faster would be nice as well as having more effect on your body when you use them. I remember being stingy with my magic in the original because I didn’t want to age in the original and always enjoyed that. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Crossing Souls

Crossing Souls is an action adventure game where a group of kids find a powerful object they don’t quite understand, and must traverse two planes of existence to save their town from a government conspiracy. As the trailer shows it borrows heavily from decades of pop culture references and seems quite interesting, best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Gravel PS4 (Preview)

Gravel is an upcoming racing game set to release in February and doesn’t focus on one style of racing exactly, there will be dirt tracts as well as sand and standard street style race courses. The game it self looks magnificent and the sound track so far sounds amazing for rock music fans. The race genre isn’t exactly lacking, but this style has left much to be desired for many of its fans and hopefully this will fill that gap nicely. Shiny PS4 (Preview)

Shiny is a rare game in todays world, it is a non violent game of a robot finding a way to harvest energy to save himself and his friends as his planet hurdles towards the sun as they were left behind. This side scrolling adventure actually looks quite charming and cute as the trailer below will convince you of. The company that made it also has a curious name, Garage 227. The name comes out in February and seems quite interesting. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Whats it like trying to be a Twitch Streamer?

Most gamers have sat down and wondered what it would be like to be a streamer on twitch, some may have even tried it. But what is it like to put an even semi serious effort into it? Honestly vastly different than most people expect. Many people think its just a simple matter of sitting down with whatever game you want, hitting that stream or share button and away you go. Technically speaking thats all it actually is. But what if you actually want people yo show up or more importantly stay?

This is the part people don’t usually talk about. Sure we all get the idea that you have to be either insanely good or insanely entertaining when it comes to playing, and being both really helps. That part is kind of a no brainer. But there is that part we don;t think about. Networking. That first milestone on Twitch of 50 followers can be brutal for some people and for others it is that 3 concurrent viewers achievement. Both of these are hard to do if you aren’t on other social media sites talking to people and letting them know your stream exist in the first place. My first stream was 3 viewers, and all of them were family or a friend I pretty much harassed into watching. This is however where your streams will start. Since than I have spent hours talking to people from Scotland and Ireland and all over the world..

The real question you have to ask yourself before streaming is, do you mind spending hours playing for no audience while building a small community? Also do you mind grinding away at a labor of love for the hope of someday maybe making a few bucks to supplement your income, because honestly most people won’t stream for a living. You might, most people won’t. If you can do these things long term and stay positive, it might just be for you. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Deadpool 2 Release Date Changed

Now before anyone loses their mind, I will throw the this out there first. It was only moved by about 2 weeks from June 1st to May 18th ( Yes it came forward) according to rumors reported by Polygon.com and for a rather interesting reason. Since the Fox/Disney many have speculated it may be because of that, but actually they simply don’t want so many of the X-men movies to be competing with each other in international theaters, which honestly is a good idea. A few of the other movies have also been shuffled around and reportedly the director of the long rumored to be in trouble Gambit movie has actually left the project. Metal Gear Survive

When I first saw this game I had the same thought many people had. What the hell is this and what did you do to Metal Gear. Tho as I am not a huge fan of the series I kept an open mind saw a few trailers like the following that gives a few more details.

After seeing that with some of the good looking visuals and see how the game will function more I have actually changed my mind from my initial “What the hell” reaction. It really now more of a WTF reaction. The game doesn’t look bad, and honestly it might just be because it is so different from the rest of the series it just seems so vastly different that it almost seems heart breaking to have the Metal Gear name. I will admit tho that it does seem rather interesting and I am not against playing this one, but I will be waiting on reviews and a sale for this one after its February 20th release date. Final Fantasy Dissidia Beta Review

First thing is first, I never played the other games. This one looks beautiful however and the controls are about as fluid as they could possibly be. The characters list is also great, as a Final Fantasy fan I was thrilled to take on Seph with the likes of Cloud and Squall (Leon for you Kingdom Hearts fans) That being said, the game itself bored me. The battle system while worked great just wasn’t fun. The battles where mostly matter of button mashing then switching attacks to finish a kill where they would simply come back to keep fighting. And this continued until you scored enough points or time ran out, if time ran out both teams lost regardless of what the score was. Many people will like this one, but for me this is a definitely won’t buy. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Xbox Career mode?

If rumors are to be believed yea sort of. Gamesradar and others are reporting that Microsoft is working on a sort of career mode that will work alongside your gamerscore that will allow you to unlock goodies for your avatar, tho the lootboxes allegedly won’t be purchasable with real world money. It will track such things as time spent in games and things you do, tho there aren’t to many details currently available the idea that lootboxes will be involved makes me a bit nervous since they usually end up involving money.
