Seaport is one of those games that at first seems really cool and starts out interesting, but you quickly realize you are doing the same thing over and over again and the resources you are getting started to outpace what you actually need. The game isn’t all bad. Upgrading your port and all your ships is interesting and if you are patient you never have to spend any real money, it would just make things faster. In the end tho I can’t really recommend this one. There are better games out there that are far less repetitive and have more content. Unless you love ships, this one is better off being passed on. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Bioshock Infinite

Sometimes change is a good thing. I loved Bioshock with all my heart so when I heard the third game in the series wasn’t going to be in the underwater city of Rapture, no plasmids, no Big Daddies, and no Splicers I figured the series was dead. Then came the day I got it as a Christmas present ans suddenly my eyes were open wide and to a whole new world of possibilities…
The year is 1912 and Booker Dewitt is a man with some problems. A former soldier and Pinkerton, Booker is a desperate man who needs a his debt wiped away. A mysterious set of twins arrives with a proposition: bring us the girl and wipe away the debt. The girl in question is Elizabeth, a young woman locked away in a tower most of her life in the flying city of Columbia, a city where Americana and religion are one in the same, led by a deranged prophet named Zachary Hale Comstock. Booker’s stay in Columbia isn’t a safe one, a raffle he’s outed as a outsider and Comstock’s followers rain down on him. Armed with guns, a sky-hook, and the Vigors that grant him different powers, Booker frees Elizabeth, guarded by the bio-mechanical Songbird. It’s not long before Booker discovers why the people of Columbia worshiped her- she has the ability to open tears into new dimensions and it’s from there Booker learns you can’t hide from the past…
Infinite is a humongous leap forward for the series in pretty much every way. Gameplay feels much more modern with far more options for weapons and the ability to combo your Vigors. Elizabeth is my favorite AI partner of all time, she can’t die, searches the area for useful items for you and can summon some awesome shit from other dimensions. The world is beautifully brought to life with top notch graphics, sound, and voice performances. The story is one of the best of the decade with some huge twists at the end and great characters. It’s hard for me to say which is my favorite between the first or Infinite and while I can’t say, it’s still a contender for best Bioshock and one of my favorite games I can’t recommend enough. May the gaming gods bring you glory.
Aquapark.io (Mobile)
Aquapark.io is a mobile game published by VOODOO and is quite simple to play but a bit harder to master. Basically, your character slides down a water slide and the first one to the bottom wins. The catch, however, is you can knock the other people off the track for kills (yes called kills) and more to the point you can also throw yourself off the slide and attempt to land on a lower section of the slide. If you do it is an easy way to win, and once or twice I managed to land directly in the pool at the end and instantly won the race. This is a dangerous tactic tho because if you miss, it is game over.
The game is a good way to kill some time, the controls are simple, just slide your finger back and forth and works just fine. It’s not a bad way to send a few minutes waiting for a bus or in the bathroom or whatever. The game isn’t great or even in-depth, it is just good enough to spend a few minutes at a time. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Revenge of the Nerds (1984)
I am fairly sure this movie saw a whole host of nerds getting their ass kicked in the mid and late 1980s. The movie has a simple concept, a group of nerds goes to school completely unknown to each other. A bunch of jocks accidentally burn their house down and kick everyone out of the freshmen dorms. Eventually, the nerds find a home, fix it up and attempt to become their own fraternity.
When they discover they have to get sponsored by a national fraternity to do so, they become Lambda Lambda Lambdas and attempt to take over the greek counsel to force a vote so they can become official. This leads to a bunch of issues with the jocks, hilarity ensues. Tho I am fairly sure one of the sex scenes counts as rape since the one nerd pretends to be someone he isn’t to sleep with the woman he has a crush on, tho afterward she is also magically ok with it? So its a very odd scene that in today’s world would not fly at all. The movie itself is a classic and a must-watch for fans of the era. You can catch it now on Hulu. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Overboard (1987)
The 1987 movie Overboard starring Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell is a classic to many fans of 80’s movies, tho it didn’t fair to well with critics and ranked in just under $27 million which for the time wasn’t too bad. The story itself has Dean Profitt (Kurt) playing a single father of three kids and carpenter is hired by Joanna (Goldie) to build a closet on her yacht. Joanna is kind of a dick so when the two get into a fight Dean is left angry and unpaid and she leaves.
Joanna, however, ends up falling overboard in an accident and left hospitalized with amnesia. When Dean finds out he decides to get his money one way or the other and pretends to be her husband. This nets him a mother for his kids and a free housewife. The plan starts out fairly well but as we all know in the end, this doesn’t go well for long. The two do of course fall in love because its a romantic comedy after all. It is a great watch for fans of the era but I feel like it doesn’t hold up very well for new fans. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Super Smash Bros 64

I may not be a hardcore fighting game fan but damn I loved me some classic Smash Bros. On Nintendo 64 I first encountered this classic which brought such iconic Nintendo characters together like Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Kirby, Yoshi, Star Fox, Samus, and Pikachu to battle each other in classic settings from there respective games. Besides fighting one another they also faced new threats like Metal-Mario, Giant Donkey Kong – which required two other fighters to help take down, as well whole teams of Yoshis, Kirbys, and Polygons all culminating in the ultimate fight against the Master Hand. Besides your powers, you have a series of cool weapons at your disposal like Poke balls, the Star Wand, Mario’s hammer and even the Star from Mario Kart 64. Unlike most fighting games, depleting your health doesn’t kill you; the more damage you take, the easier it is to get smashed off the map which makes for some intense fights, especially between friends. Honestly Smash Bros 64 is my favorite fighting game ever ( I’m untouchable with Pikachu). The maps, the characters, the weapons, and music are ingrained in my memory long after my childhood and my N64. I seriously recommend this game, especially with a friend, and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Dr. Mario World (Mobile)
Who loved Dr. Mario as a kid? Well if you did there is great news for you. Dr, Mario World is now out on mobile. The sound is as nice as you would hope and the controls are a bit easier to deal with than I expected. Basically, you use the touch screen to slide the pills up and tap the screen to twist them. The game is free to play, so there is no risk in trying it out, and there is also some stuff to buy with real money. I didn’t touch it so I can’t tell you if it’s worth it or not, but it does exist. Nintendo needs to make some cash somehow to be fair.
I honestly have never hidden the fact that I am not big on puzzle games, so this one will get boring quick for me. With that said tho there isn’t anything that made me dislike the game. The sound was nice and the controls work with the game and that is all you need. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Killers (2010)
Killers with Kathrine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher is a 2010 Assasin comedy that was met with some mixed reviews. for example, it got a 10% on Rotten Tomatoes, a 5.4/10 on IMBd but 89% of Google users like it. It also basically flopped in theaters with a 75 million dollar budget and a 98 million dollar box office.
The movie itself is about an Assasin, Spencer (Ashton) that is on a mission and meets a woman, Jen (Kathrine) that has just gone through a break-up and is on a family vacation. They quickly fall in love, get married and Jen never finds out about Spencer’s real job. They end up with the perfect suburban life. That is for the first about three years.
Around three years, Spencer’s old boss comes knocking and tries to drag him back into the business, and when he refuses a $20 million bounty is placed on his head and his neighbors literally start trying to kill him. Somebody has been placing sleepers in his life for years, and they are trying to collect.
The movie has its funny moments and of course, the acting is well done. I also enjoyed the entire concept and while the ending was pretty easy to see coming it was still pretty cool to see happen. This is one of those movies for fans of romantic comedies with a twist, it’s a great movie. For everyone else, maybe not so much. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Game of Evolution Click & Merge (Mobile)
Game of Evolution Click & Merge is clearly a clicker mobile game, and not a good one. You start with a single celled organism and combine them together. Each time you do this they will make a bigger creature. They eventually turn into land creatures such as dinosaurs, monkeys and people. Each increasing more advanced creature will be worth more money.
The problem is the game is never fun. There is no challenge to it, and the only fun part is that the creatures do look pretty cute. The sound is repetitive as well, so honesty while this is a short review, you shouldn’t waste your time playing this game. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Dragonball Z:The Frieza Saga

After defeating Ginyu at the end of the Dragonball Z: The Namek Saga , Goku is rushed into a Revitalization chamber while Ginyu hops around, stuck in the body of a frog. Frieza, a tyrant of seemingly unstoppable power, is approaching. While Vegeta sleeps, Gohan, Krillin, and Dende attempt to summon the dragon undisturbed. They manage to revive Piccolo and there Kami as well, and have Piccolo sent to Namek where he fuses with a dying Nail, becoming stronger than he thought possible. Frieza finds them, unleashing a new transformation just when our heroes believe they can win. Frieza brutally kills Vegeta, who tearfully tells Goku that he was a slave under Frieza his whole life and he never had a chance to be anything else. Angered Goku faces against Frieza’s final form but even with all his strength he can’t match Frieza’s might. His final solution: drop the biggest Spirit Bomb on Frieza he possibly can, having his friends try to hold him off. At first, it appears the bomb worked, but there hopes are quickly smashed when Frieza emerges, wounded and pissed, killing Krillin and mortally wounding Piccolo in a blink of the eye. Goku is furious, unleashing his rage in a frightening display, becoming the golden haired, aqua eyed Super Saiyan of legend. Suddenly the tables turn on Frieza, who is suddenly completely outmatched. However, he has a final transformation under his belt and uses his power to destroy the planet. Can Goku defeat Frieza before Namek explodes?
Here is where DBZ sold me. Frieza is a simple villain but his multiple, strange transformations and iconic voice make him one of the series most memorable bad guys. We see Gohan, Krillin, Vegeta, and Piccolo at some of there most badass but let’s face, Goku steals the show with his Super Saiyan transformation. Super Saiyan Goku vs Frieza on dying Namek is on of anime’s greatest battles and Goku’s Super Saiyan transformation set the standard for epic transformations in anime for decades to come. The finale is suspenseful as hell and ends on a great cliff hanger. This is one of my favorite sagas, despite the fact it’s pretty much one fight and Frieza does get annoying at times ( not to mention that son of a bitch can’t tell time to save his ass) but because of the awesomeness that is Super Saiyan and the suspenseful as hell climax and satisfying as hell end to Frieza, it’s one of my favorites and well worth a watch. May the gaming gods bring you glory.
