It was revealed earlier this week by Jurassic World 3’s director, Colin Trevorrow, that Sam Neil, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum will be reprising their iconic roles as Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler and Ian Malcolm with plenty of on-screen time. Since the first Jurassic Park in 1993, the original cast have only been featured in small cameos with Dern […]

My first ever book reading live via Facebook 9/19/19

9/19/19 was the 17th birthday for my unfinished book, Pinstriker (Ps  for short). I started when I was 11- I’m 28 now, almost 29. I faced my fears and shared a portion with my friends on FB and it was a big success. Savior agreed I should try sharing it with all of you because, by doing this not only has it boosted my morale but also gave me faith my work can be appreciated when it’s finally complete. So sit back and enjoy my first ever reading and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Bill Burr Paper Tiger

Bill Burr Paper Tiger is going to piss off a ton of people. Seriously, he makes fun of everything. From a discussion on racism with someone, his experience with being sexually assaulted at a show to first ladies and robots. He does this all in his usual brash and abrasive way. It is also hilarious. I spent the entire time laughing.

He even took a shot at Stephen Hawking for thinking he was too good to stand up and make his point. I know sounds offensive, watch the stand-up tho and you will still be offended but you will be laughing.

Truthfully his style hasn’t changed, Bill is just Bill. He is simply telling the truth about a lot of things, and others he is clearly just going for a cheap laugh. I love comedies like this because he knows someone is going to hate him after, and he isn’t saying anything inherently wrong but like twelve people are going to overreact and be pissed off more than they should be. So go, enjoy the show and laugh at those twelve people. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Star Wars Episode 1: the game

menace game

With the final movie of the Skywalker saga in Star Wars coming out at the end of this year, I’m going to start looking at pieces of the Star Wars I growing up. Given to me as a gift way later in life so I checked it out before upgrading to the PS3, brand new at the time. I can tell you this game did not age well at all.

The Phantom Menace game recounts the events of the game ( minus the pod race and thankfully the debate scenes). You play as Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, Padme, and her bodyguard dude I can’t remember the name of. For Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan you primarily use your lightsaber and try to reflect blaster shots back at the enemies which requires pretty acute timing but is still hit and miss. You can use a force ability which helps. The other two characters are strictly shooters which wouldn’t be so bad if the game didn’t use tank controls. Yes, tank controls, so be ready to feel like you are going through a chore. The graphics are pretty bad, and you don’t get much resolution in the characters which can look kinda creepy at times. The music is fine but loops too often and the sound is Ok. This is one of those games I rage quit and didn’t look back from; between getting lost so often with the bad controls and bullshit deaths I just couldn’t bring myself to get past level 4. I can’t tell you if I would’ve liked this game more back then but in a more modern day, hell no. Regardless of your opinion on the movie, I can say you are good to skip this game. May the gaming gods bring you glory.

Football Field Kick (Mobile)

Foot Field Kick is a Mobile game from that is pretty simple to play. All you do is tap the screen when the meter gets where you want it and your player will kick the ball. As you earn money you can upgrade your stats and kick the ball further, make the ball bounce higher and so on and so forth. The game is honestly fun for about 3 minutes until the ads every 30 seconds will drive you nuts.

Seriously, this game would have been perfectly fun to me if it wasn’t for all the damn ads. I get companies need to make their money, but these ads make the game pretty much unplayable for me. Skip this one guys, there are better free games out there that are far more interesting and engaging that won’t give you ads all the time. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Ready or Not (2019)

Ready or Not is the story of Grace (Samara Weaving) marrying the love of her life. Alex Le Domas. (Mark O’Brien) The Le Domas family, however, is the proud owners of a gaming dynasty. It started with a card game made during the civil war and now spans board games and four major league sports teams.

After a beautiful wedding the estranged from his family Alex drops a small detail he never mentioned before. At midnight the day of the wedding, the person entering the family will have to draw one card, and play the game on that card. For example, the man that married a cousin has to play old maid and someone else had to play chess. The rules are always played the way they were traditionally back in the old days of the civil war. This is important for one small reason.

The card our new friend Alex draws is Hide and Seek. So all the doors will be locked for the night, the security cameras shut off and she will hide. She wins by staying hidden until the sun comes up. Of course, she has no interest in hiding that long. Who would? So after she gets bored with hiding and Alex comes to find her and is when she finds out that the game is played because if you don’t pick a card at all you die, and Grace picked the only bad card possible. Hide and seek is the only game nobody wins and it is to the death of the bride or groom.

The movie, however, was not what I expected. From the previews, I saw I was expecting a more thriller-horror style movie and truthfully it is more of a thriller comedy. This isn’t a bad thing, it was just very unexpected to me. The movie was actually really well done and had some great laughs in it. There was never a time I was bored or wondering what was going on. I also appreciated that the story was straight to the point. We got straight to the story and while they were at it they managed to give you all the back story you needed which I feel never happens enough.

The movie is far from perfect obviously but it is a surprisingly fun movie, possibly the most surprising movie of the summer for me. So check this one out when you get the chance. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Addressing the claim that there is no longer any need to protest because Carrie Lam said “withdrawal of the bill” — The Dark Hound

The frequency which I am encountering the argument that there isn’t any need for protesting anymore because Carrie Lam already said she’s withdrawing the bill is quite startling. More specifically, the claim was “Extradition (bill) was shot down and the protests are still going”. What people who make such arguments don’t understand is that the […]
