Black Panther: Power

Allegedly it’s been said that Black Panther 2 will introduce Namor, The Submariner into the MCU. Personally, I love the idea and it would be a great way to introduce the pivotal anti-hero as well as potentially be a way to introduce the idea of mutants as well. So reading this book is perfect timing.
T’Challa, the king of Wakanda and Black Panther, has been crippled and taken out of commission. Shuri, his little sister, inventor, and one of his greatest confidants has taken the mantle in both of her brother’s positions. The transition is far from smooth as the an unknown foe is trying to have her killed, controlling mercs armed with Stark tech as well as rarities. Meanwhile, T’Challa goes on a dark request to bring his physicality back that may just destroy his good heart and soul. All the evidence points to Namor being behind the attempts, leading Shuri to fight a foe feared by much of the Marvel universe, while a patient Dr Doom waits and watches…
This book is a good example of why I love Black Panther. I love the politics and spiritualism of Wakanda. Shuri is a fine replacement and I admit has some awesome fights; the fight against Namor is great and indeed my favorite part of the book. The plot can get a bit confusing a political action thriller but I found it relatively easy as a fan of the character. This is a brief overview in the beginning which is always welcome to set the stage. In the end, I recommend this book but not as a first Panther read. May the gaming gods bring you glory.
Bright 2 Delayed Due to Will Smith Scheduling
As reported by ScreenRant Bright 2 while still seems to be happening has been delayed due to scheduling conflicts with Will Smith already packed film schedule. It was thought it would start earlier this year when he decided not to go back to his role as Deadshot in Suicide Squad but this was not the case. Not much else is known about Bright 2 but many fans are looking forward to it. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Movie review: Hell fest (2018) Netflix — Once Upon The Wytching Hour
Hell Fest (2018) features Bex Taylor-Klaus from the series Scream, which swayed me towards watching it because I enjoyed her character in Scream (unfortunately I found her really irritating in this) and also because it was Halloweeny and I want to get into the Halloween mood (maybe prematurely but who cares). The premise is 3 […]

Pokemon snap

So the other day, walking down memory lane, I covered Hey You Pikachu and decided today why not cover an unusual Pokemon game that actually works. Again, much like Hey You Pikachu, this game was a cool concept: go on expeditions through various locales taking pictures of the native Pokemon that inhabit the region. It was a cool concept done surprisingly well. The camera was fluid and the expeditions were pretty fun; I remember a volcanic area full of fire Pokemon which were some of my favorites at the time. An unexpected bonus was how much fun it was playing with a friend, seeing who could photo bomb more Pokemon and who could get the cooler shots. Violet and I had a ton of fun doing this as kids. I feel if replicated today, the modern game market would abuse the hell out of this game, adding who knows how many DLC packages and micro transactions which makes me sad a bit. In the end, it’s a simple, wholesome game I recommend for Pokemon fans or families with younger kids. May the gaming gods bring you glory.
The Blackcoat’s Daughter (2015)
The Blackcoat’s Daughter is a 2015 horror movie about two girls stuck over a holiday at an all-girls Catholic school with something dark and sinister. The movie starts with two girls finding out their parents aren’t going to show up. One because they are stuck in a storm, the other because she lied to her parents about what day to be there.
The movie after that jumps between the 2 girls at school and Joan, a girl traveling alone with a husband and wife that are making their way towards Bradford, where the school is, to leave flowers at the grave of their deceased daughter.
The movie is less interesting than it sounds. It takes forever to get going and even when it does it is never all that interesting to me. The ending also felt like it was tacked on and my girlfriend and I saw it coming around halfway through the movie. There wasn’t anything wrong with the acting or the effects or any of that. I personally just didn’t like the story. By all means, give it a watch, I can’t really say there was anything inherently wrong with it, I just didn’t enjoy it. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Psikyo Shooting Stars Alpha
Psikyo Shooting Stars Alpha will be released on January 21st 2020 for the Nintendo Switch by NIS America. They were kind enough to send me over a gameplay trailer so I didn’t have to go searching for it on youtube, and now I will save you guys that same 12 seconds. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Terminator: Resistance trailer 1
I’ll be the first to admit, Terminator should have ended with Judgement Day. This game I have to say looks freaking amazing as far as what I’d want for a game. I love that it feels like the war scenes in the classic two movies. I’d say the game looks worth keeping a look out for. May the gaming gods bring you glory.
3 From Hell (2019)
3 From Hell is the Sequel to The Devils Reject’s and picks up right where that movie left off. The opening is about the trial that takes place about a year after these three miraculously survive and is sentenced to life in prison for multiple counts of murder and numerous other things.
After this, we get bounced to 10 years into the future so we can see a documentary being made. We see how they are all doing, Captain Spaulding has lost a lot of weight for example and Baby is quite honestly frigging nuts, like totally off the deep end insane. Otis, however, is still just Otis.
Speaking of Otis, we need someone to escape to get this movie going and he will be the one to do it. After he murders a bunch of guards and other prisoners the plot to try and free Baby will come into full swing. Baby meanwhile has her own issues with a prison guard named Greta. It is safe to say the two don’t get along. Baby breaks her nose at her parole hearing and Greta tries to have Baby murdered.
This movie is getting pretty mixed reviews and honestly, I don’t see why. The story is solid and the acting is great. Baby nails her role perfectly and Otis is fantastic. I don’t want to give to much away about the story because there are a few bits I didn’t see coming and having seen it as a double feature with The Devil’s Reject made me remember how much I enjoyed the series as a whole. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
Cooking up a Stormcloak — Later Levels
Regular Later Levels visitors will probably be aware of my on-off obsession with The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO). Since being introduced to the game during Christmas 2015, I’ve had regular bouts of playing it non-stop before calling it quits for several months – only to go back to the MMORPG a short time later. My […]
