Marvel Avengers Reveal Trailer

I am just going to piss everyone off today. Seriously, what the hell is this? It is a story based game with only five characters, but they will be adding more for free with no loot boxes, which is usually code for get ready to buy a ton of cosmetics. They reveal an entire game with no real game play, and they all pretty much look like Avenger stunt doubles from an unreleased generic 90’s cartoon. I’m not saying the game won’t be good, nobody can say that, because they didn’t really show the damn game.

It could be interesting, but this E3 just made me stop looking forward to it. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Release Date and Trailer

Time to piss some of you off. I have been pretty up front about my love for Final Fantasy 7 and the series as a whole, and I have been pretty up front about my feelings about this game. Why A 2019 Final Fantasy 7 Remake Would Be Too Little Too Late For Me

This week we saw the battle system in action and found out this first release of the multiple game release for Final Fantasy 7 remake would simply be inside of Midgar. They have been pretty up front about this being expanded upon greatly, but honestly considering it will be a fully priced game and the fact that I have already played the whole story, and other games like Witcher 3 and Elder Scrolls Skyrim have been hundreds of hours at release, I see no reason for this game to be this way outside of Square Enix using it as a massive cash grab because they know fans, including myself, will buy it anyway.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think this will be a short game. It will be beautiful and surely 40-60 hours long, of that I have no doubt. But they are still splitting up a game that doesn’t need to be split up just to sell it multiple times.

The battle system also seems weird, like they are attempting to placate older fans with the ATB system while making it more appealing to newer fans with it being more action oriented, and in the end this won’t really make anyone truly happy. it will mostly be mashing buttons to charge up the gauge and use an item or an attack then to mash more buttons. The materia being shown in weapons is pretty cool, and I like that idea. But to say I have some issues and concerns, is putting it mildly. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Then Came You (2019)

Starring Maisie Williams and Asa Butterfield Then Came You tells the story of a boy, Calvin, who is afraid to die and Skye who is actually dying. Calvin lost a twin sister when he was about eight years old and has pretty much been a hypochondriac ever since. He has an entire journal of symptoms.

Skye actually has terminal cancer, and before you watch this movie expecting a happy ending, there isn’t one for our young friend Skye. This is exactly as advertised advertised and there are no miracles.

The movie will cover their friendship from how and when they meet, to their love lives and quest to do everything they want before they die. Some of them are simply mundane like get a job, followed by get fired. Others are a bit more deep or in depth.

The movie however, and I don’t say this lightly, is one of the most heart wrenching movies I have ever seen. The ending alone while amazing and worth watching the movie for is also one of the saddest things I have ever seen. I won’t get into to many details, but the movie is great, and one of the best I have seen in 2019. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Atlus Doubles Down on PS4 Exclusivity for Persona 5 Royal — All The PlayStation You’ll Ever Need.

Even though Joker from Persona 5 appeared as a freagin’ DLC character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on the Switch. Even though Persona 5 Scramble is releasing on the Nintendo Switch, Atlus has remained consistent that the main Persona 5 game would remain exclusive to the PlayStation family of consoles. Now Atlus has reminded Fans…

A rather odd choice I think to leave it only on PS4 while having your main character be a DLC character on another console.

Letterkenny Season 7 Announced

As promised I had some news on our friends over at Letterkenny, and here it is. As reported by deadline Letterkenny will become a Hulu original on October 14th for its 7th Season which will consist of 6 episodes and while details are scarce it seems our hick friends will be starting some sort of agricultural call-in show. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Changes to Destiny 2 Coming, Including Free to Play Base Game

As the title says, there are some substantial changes coming to Destiny 2 in an attempt to bring in new players and bring back some of the older ones. One of those changes, as reported by engadget.com is that the base game will become free to play come September 17th when the next expansion Shadowkeep releases.

Polygon is also reporting that we will also see cross save between PS4, Xbox one, PC and Stadia. The idea is to unify the entire world of Destiny 2 so nobody feels they are singled out away from their friends, even exclusive content is being done away with.

While this may be way to little far to late for some fans, I do think this is a step in the right direction and will probably be picked up by many other games and companies in the future. It just seems like the time is right for this sort of thing. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Letterkenny Season 6

I know what you guys are thinking, another quick review of  a show where savior says it doesn’t change, its still funny, was only 7 episodes and you should check it out. Just like I did the last few days. This is mostly true, except this season things did change a bit.

This season while still being the same formula of episodes mostly being unconnected in anyway, just being a bunch of one liner jokes and just being a cheap laugh and a guilty pleasure this one actually connect things across multiple episodes in a small way. For example it is heavily implies that Wayne is either going to, or has proposed to his girlfriend, but they never really mention it again.

Some of the characters that rarely interact also start doing so more, with some pretty hilarious consequences tho they are also pretty interesting. All in all this season while maybe not the best, was possibly the most interesting. I do have one more bit of Letterkenny news tomorrow then it will be tossed away for at least awhile. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
