Night of the Living Dead 3D is listed on Hulu as both a homage and re-imagining of the 1968 film. I actually went into this thinking hey maybe this will be fun. The good part, there is a brief nude scene. That is about the end of what I have to say good about the movie.
The acting is horrible, but in their defense it was supposed to be. Sadly the script was also horrible and that was not intentional. Someone actually thought this movie was a good idea. The story itself also takes a huge dump on the movie it is trying to pay homage to with some of the worst changes they could have gone through with, right down to most of the movie not even taking place in the house and the totally awful explanation that this whole thing started because the local crematoriums owner died and his son hated to burn the bodies. They also happened to be unlicensed so occasionally people would pay them to burn other medical waste. This resulted in the dead coming back to life. I am not even kidding, that is how this all happened. The movie never actually becomes good or even really worth watching. Skip this one, and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Karate Kid 3 is viewed by most as the worst of the originals staring Daniel, and its not hard to see why. While it was nice to see Johnny make a come back his quest for revenge leaves much to be desired as does his assistance from a seemingly random business man and Vietnam war vet that coincidentally owns a toxic waste disposal company.
Don’t get me wrong the movie isn’t a train wreck, and if all you are after is to see some karate action and a small story this will fill the gap, but I have actually met many people that forget this movie exist or have never even seen it. This time around Daniel and his teacher go to Okinawa Japan, his home town to visit his dying father. While there Danny boy will meet a woman, fall in love and watch as his mentor faces off against an old rival from his past and learn many new things. Daniel will also make a new enemy of his own.
The movie was less well received than the first tho was still a pretty average movie in its own right. The acting was as good as one would think as is the sound and the music. Now the video and the title will say a lot, but there is more info out there. For example there is a trilogy box set that comes with Dark Souls one ,two and three along with a ton of other stuff like art books, book ends and other assorted items, and all for the low low price of $450 (American) Now that won’t be in the cards for me and the sooner than expected release date of May 25th.
What does the remaster include? Well 1080 graphics on the PlayStation and Xbox one as well as upscaled 4K graphics on the One X and Pro with native 4K on the PC. I do have some concerns tho, the original dark souls was damn near broken at times and it basically required manipulating broken hit boxes and camera angles as opposed to actual skill. Dark Souls 2 to a lesser extent had a similar problem but Scholar of the First Sin fixed those amazingly, and I really hope the remaster of DS1 does the same. I am personally excited but optimistic. Lords of the Fallen is an attempt at mimicking the success of the Dark Souls and Bloodborne craze. Having played many games of the genre i can honestly say Lords of the Fallen isn’t bad, it simply isn’t as good. The controls work well and the magic does what it is supposed to, tho there isn’t much variety in it. The weapons have the same as other games of its type, big swords that are slow smaller quicker short swords meant to be paired with a shield axes and so on, all of which do exactly what you would thing and requiring different amounts of points in each stat to equip and use.
The story itself follows something similar to the soulsborne series as well, and by that I mean its there if you want to go looking for it, tho here it is much easier to find. The game is also easier than your average soulsborne game. All in all if you can grab this on sale ( or like me got it free on PSN a while back) it is worth playing, but I wouldn’t spend more than $10 or so. The karate kid, a movie that sent an generation to learn martial arts and probably made their tournaments far more popular than ever before. It is a timeless classic of Daniel taking on bullies with the help of the local handy man. Learning the meaning of wax on, wax off and not in his bedroom. It would also spawn multiple sequels all of which can be found on Hulu right now.
It is a classic for a reason, it was much loved by many and even now people born in the 80’s still only know Ralph Maccio as Danial and Pat Morita as Mr. Miyagi. Tho in recently years there has been some conspiracy surrounding the movie. Was danny boy the bad guy the entire time? Well watch this video and you decide. Recently tho Express.co.uk has pointed out as have many fans that the Japanese Twitter for the company has updated their picture to all the games recently released with 1 gap, the gap where you would think Resident Evil 2 would be. Ghost House is basically the the stereotypical Asian ghost story. You know most American ones involve some sort of Indian cemetery or burial mound and a pissed spirit. Well prepare for that from our Asian brethren.
On vacation before being married a couple meets a nice European couple and decide to go site seeing. This of course leads to seeing some land marks, a strip club and an old abandoned shrine with a bunch of mini houses, sort of like doll houses. When one woman attempts to retrieve a piece of cloth at the behest of their new European friends whom now decides to run away and abandon them to be possessed by an evil spirit.
Turns out this evil spirit gets really pissed off when a young attractive woman messes with these houses. It sounds good in theory but sadly the movie is actually kind of boring. It is slow, comes off pretty stereotypical to a degree that actually spoils the movie at times and the acting isn’t all that great either. I wouldn’t suggest watching this one except for morbid curiosity. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
