Borderlands: Game of The Year Edition

Coming April 3rd and The unfortunate victim of some huge technical issues at PAX East we instead got to listen to people working on the game tell us a few things, for example, it will be in 4k and it moved from being 2 player co-op to 4 player split screen. Luckily you can now find all the details in the trailer on youtube (Down Below) and below that, I will include the Handsome Jack Collection update as well. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Finally, Borderlands $@!&’in 3

I think the title says it all, PAX East saw the reveal trailer for Borderlands 3, and I am excited. We saw some bad guys, Tiny Tina less tiny, found out there will be over a billion guns (Yes with a B) and at least one will have legs. Don’t believe me, watch the trailer below and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Streets Of Rage 4 Teases New Characters

Finally a new gameplay trailer for Streets of Rage 4, and it is a good one tho it is a bit short. At the end tho you can see Axel and Blaze who were also in the trailer and the outline of two unknown characters. Who they are and what their roles will be are obviously quite unknown, as is much else about the game. I do however really appreciate that the graphics and sound have that old school feel but look quite updated and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Dora The Explorer Trailer

First, here is the trailer. I know a lot of you probably didn’t watch it because it is a movie based off a show for 5-year-olds. So, please watch it so everything  I say makes sense.

Okay first it is a Nickelodeon movie, its a bit silly and we all knew that was coming. Eva Longoria is still a good looking woman as expected and Micheal Pena is great. Cool, we are covered. Moving on, why the hell does Dora have what appears to be dynamite, rock climbing equipment and a flair in school? Also, this kid has a giant knife in school? Seriously I own a similar knife, you could take an arm off with that thing, legitimately.

I watched this show with my kids, she wondered around singing songs with her backpack and a map, now she is going to knife poor Swiper, and I hate to admit I kind of want to see it. Why you may ask because this movie is going to either be fun or a train wreck and either way that will be interesting. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Sony, State of Disappointment

Recently Sony had its State of Play and I have to be honest, I was pretty disappointed. There were a lot of VR games such as a new Iron Man.

There will also soon be VR support for No Man’s Sky

We also got new trailers for MK11 and Days Gone. (Which I will post below) My honest issue is if this is what they are going to do from now on, why focus so much on VR and games we knew so much about already? It seems like such a wasted opportunity to have solidified this as their new big thing by showing either a new big game or a new trailer or Last of Us 2, maybe a similar game. Not to say they didn’t show some good things, but I feel like it should have been so much more. Either way, enjoy the trailers and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Battle Ages (PS4)

Anyone that has played games for more than a few weeks knows, don’t expect much from a free to play game. They are almost always pay to win, are rarely well made and usually are not worth the time it takes to download. There are exceptions to the rule of course. Warframe, for example, is a great game and I hear great things about Path Of Exiles, which I will play with it out on PS4 today as a matter of fact. (Look for that review soon) Battle Ages, well god damn.

Battle Ages is bad by even free to play standards. I have seen better looking mobile games, and the time to upgrade things starts out fairly high so I can only imagine what the late game ends up being. You have to rebuild your troops after every battle, even if they don’t die and man are they stupid. They will stand there and get attacked by enemy defenders to the point I watched 10 guys get slaughtered by 1 defender because they wouldn’t stop attacking a wall to kill him.

Never expect much from free to play games, but expect something. Even with those low expectations, this game falls low below them. It took about a minute to download, and I consider that a waste of time. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Distant Worlds, The View From Above

The week from distant worlds we traveled what seemed a bit further than usual. It also seemed like quite a few commanders have given up and gone home at this point. I can understand why tho, despite some of the amazing views I have seen having traveled around 30 thousand light years has at times felt like a full-time job in itself, and there are still about 35 thousand light years until Beagle Point and at least 65 thousand to get home. For the ones still going tho spirits seem high, many of us still meet up on basecamps every Friday and just race around.

This week’s basecamp as at a place called Goliath’s Rest had pretty high gravity and I didn’t want to risk a landing, so I took a picture from above the galactic plane.

I also saw a few other cool things, like an Ammonia world.

It has been a while since I saw one of those and definitely the first since the visual update. The fun thing about being out this far is everything you see almost is a first discovery for you, meaning you are the first person to see it ever and possibly the last. Below are some more things I came across, best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Mortal Kombat 11 Characters

Recently new MK11 characters have been revealed and admittedly I am quite excited for two of them. One is a personal favorite of mine, Noob Saibot that I have been using since he first became a playable character. Of course, the other character I am excited for is the first confirmed DLC character Shang Tsung. Why some may ask am I excited for the return of the original bad guy from the MK universe? Well, he is voiced this time by the Shang Tsung from the first move, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, and that to me is worth being excited about since when I think Shang Tsung I think of Tagawa. Kotal Khan was also announced but admittedly I don’t know of anyone that was excited by that one. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.

Mothra Vs Rodan Fight Confirmed For New Godzilla Movie

For fans of the Godzilla franchise that grew up watching Godzilla: King of The Monsters is a movie well worth the wait. With numerous monsters joining this new installment of the monsterverse that already has a couple solid movies in it this next one full of new monsters to this reboot like Rodan and King Ghidorah will have to be great right? Well, one more thing to look forward to, concept art for the movie confirms Rodan and Mothra will be fighting each other, tho where and when in the movie or why this takes place is still a mystery. Regardless, it is something to look forward to. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.
